By Air
Macau has one major airport, Macau International Airport (MFM). Another Airport is 39 km from Macau i.e. Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). Flights from all countries arrive and depart from both the airports. Air Asia, China Eastern, Air China, British Airways, Lufthansa, Spicejet are major airlines to the city. Also one can fly in here from Beijing in 4 hours. From India, travelers can board Jet Airways or Cathay Pacific flights to Hong Kong Airport.
By Train
Being on an island, there is no train connectivity to reach Macau. However, it takes 1 hour from Hong Kong to reach Macau by a ferry.
By Road
Macau is a place which has a very well developed network of public transportation. Buses are available from every site from major stations. The network is a bit complicated but is easy to understand with the help of a map. One can take a bus from Airport Warehouse or Ferry Terminal to their desired destination. Hong Kong to Macau by bus can be reached by route numbers 26, 26A, 50 to Cotai region and also will stop at various points in Taipa Village. Macau Travel Pass is also available. It is a prepaid pass and allows you to travel in different buses.
One just needs to touch the card before entering and exiting the bus on the machine present on the bus. Taxis and hired cabs are available as well. These are relatively expensive but will drop you where you want in very little time. It is advisable to take bus routes as it gives you the view of other parts of the city as well.
