A Ma temple is located on southeastern part of Macau Peninsula and is the oldest temple.

A Ma temple got constructed in 1488 by Ming Dynasty for commemorating Mazu who is the sacred sea goddess. The legends say Mazu was a girl who lived in Putian city with the ability for predicting future. She has helped people who lived around here.
