Waterbom Bali Opening Hours

The Waterbom Bali opening hours are 9 AM to 6 PM. Waterbom is open on all days of the week, and the park's own FAQ adds the one exception: it will be "closed only on Nyepi Day". There is no weekly closing day and no separate season timetable, so the hours below hold for every month of the year.

Is Waterbom open today?

Yes, unless today is Nyepi. Two things can still keep you out on an open day. In high season the park can reach capacity and stop admitting people for a while, which is why Waterbom asks peak-season visitors to book online at least a day ahead. And in a severe storm the staff may close the pools and slides until it passes. If either looks likely, ring +62 361 755676 before you leave the hotel.

You will find other hours online. One reseller lists a 10 AM opening on the same page that says 9 AM elsewhere, and last-entry times of 4 PM and 5 PM both circulate. The park's home page, its FAQ and its terms all say 9 AM to 6 PM, and those are the hours on this page.

What Time Does Waterbom Close? Last Entry and Leaving

Waterbom closes at 6 PM. It does not publish a last-entry time, so if you want to arrive after mid-afternoon, call the park first rather than trust a reseller listing. In practice a late start rarely pays off. A Single Day ticket costs the same at 3 PM as at 9 AM, and Waterbom sells no half-day ticket.

Closing takes longer than people expect. Allow 30 minutes at the end of the day for three jobs.

• Empty your locker. There are three locker areas, and all of them fill with wet families from about 5:30 PM.

• Shower and change. Showers are at the Main Locker Area, the Kiddy Area and the Tropical Area.

• Collect your unused Splash Band credit. Waterbom pays out the balance left on your wristband as you leave.

If you have a dinner booking on Jalan Kartika Plaza, start winding down at about 5:15 PM.

Is Waterbom Open on Nyepi and Public Holidays?

Waterbom is open on every public holiday except Nyepi. On Nyepi, the Hindu new year, Bali goes silent for 24 hours. In 2027 that runs from 6 AM on Monday 8 March to 6 AM on Tuesday 9 March. The airport stops flights, roads close, and hotel guests are expected to stay on their property. Waterbom shuts with everything else. The date comes from Indonesia's 2027 holiday decree, the SKB 3 Menteri published by the State Secretariat. Some online calendars say 9 March, which is the day the silence ends.

2027 has a twist. Idul Fitri, the end of Ramadan, falls on 10 and 11 March, two days after Nyepi, and the government has added collective leave days on 9, 12 and 15 March. That makes 9 to 15 March a national holiday week inside Waterbom's normally quiet season. Expect Indonesian families in large numbers, book online a day ahead and arrive at 9 AM.

Best Time to Visit Waterbom Bali

The best time to visit Waterbom is 9 AM on a weekday in February to April or October to November. Each of those three choices (hour, day and month) cuts queue time on its own, and together they make the difference between a few rides an hour and a long wait at every slide tower.

Mornings win. Tour groups and families staying further out tend to reach the park between 10:30 AM and noon, and the queues for the thrill slides build from then until early afternoon. The table shows the usual shape of a busy day.

In the wet season the afternoon has a second problem. Storms tend to build after lunch, and lightning can pause the slides. One more reason to be through the gate at nine.

Weekday or weekend?

It depends on the month. In peak season, Tuesday to Thursday is calmer, because Bali residents and visitors from Java come at weekends. In the quiet months, Waterbom's own FAQ points the other way and suggests weekends from February to April and October to November, when overseas holiday traffic is low.

Best months for Waterbom

Two calendars decide how busy Waterbom gets: Australian school holidays, since Australia sends more visitors to Bali than any other country, and Indonesian holidays. The weather matters less, because a water park works in warm rain.

How Long Do You Need at Waterbom?

Most people need four to six hours. How long you stay depends less on the park than on who you bring.

Lunch is part of the day, because outside food isn't allowed in. Eat at 11:30 AM or after 1:30 PM and you skip the worst of the lunch queue.

What Happens If It Rains at Waterbom?

Waterbom stays open in ordinary rain, and since you are already wet, most people barely notice. Its terms and conditions say that "in the event of severe weather conditions" it may have to close pools and attractions for a while, and guests are told to take shelter until it is safe. In practice that means lightning, which in the wet season from November to March usually arrives in the afternoon.

Can You Leave Waterbom and Come Back the Same Day?

Yes. Your ticket is valid for the whole day, and Waterbom's FAQ says you only need a pass-out from the exit, which you show to get back in. This is the easy way to beat the midday crush. Getting to Waterbom by 9 AM

Waterbom is on Jalan Kartika Plaza in Tuban, at the southern end of Kuta and a few minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Grab, Gojek and hotel taxis all drop at the gate. Morning traffic on Sunset Road and the Bypass can double these times, so the leave-by column builds in a buffer.

1. Book online the day before in high season. Waterbom asks for this, and the gate can close at capacity.

2. Rent a locker and top up your Splash Band on arrival, before the 10:30 AM rush reaches the counters.

3. Ride the big slides in the first 90 minutes, then switch to the pools when the queues build.

4. Get a pass-out if you leave for lunch, and keep it somewhere you won't lose it.
