Things to Do in Italy
From skiing in the Dolomites to swimming in the Mediterranean and from moonlight ride in Venetian gondolas to gallery hopping in Florence, there is a slew of things to do in Italy. The European country offers different strokes for everyone. Treasure troves such as Rome, Florence, and Venice house legendary masterpieces by the likes of Michelangelo and Botticelli entice art lovers; On the other hand, lyrical landscapes of Tuscany, Palladian villas of Veneto, and culinary delights of Umbria attract connoisseurs of all sorts from all over the world. Rich in culture & history and soaked in food & pleasure, Italian lifestyle is enviably sweet. Let’s take a closer look at the best things to do in Italy to savor the famed “La Dolce Vita.”
Go on sightseeing and day trips to chase down all the major UNESCO world heritage sites in Italy that include baroque churches, gothic cathedrals, historical towns, ancient city ruins, and classical monuments. The city of Rome is a showcase of the great Roman Empire. Pay a visit to the Colosseum, marvel at the ceiling of Sistine Chapel, toss a coin into Trevi Fountain, catch up with the locals and fellow tourists at the Spanish Steps, and hire a scooter to explore narrow streets of Trastevere. The list of things to do in Rome never runs out.
The world has changed, but Rome’s fabric is the same; it hasn’t bothered a bit to change because it doesn’t need to. Rome wasn’t built in a day so visiting the city in a day is simply not worth considering. Eating out in Rome, be it in a trattoria or an outdoor café, is one of the best things to do in Italy to make your Roman Holiday dreams come to life. For those wanting to feast like a Roman emperor must spend a weekend in Bologna. The city is famous for dishes like tagliatelle al ragù, cappellacci pasta, Parma prosciutto, and parmesan. Here, one can even learn how to roll a pasta or prepare a dough for pizza.
Venice is a city where roads are canals and cars are boats. Take a gondola ride to sail past beautiful buildings covered in luminous mosaics and pay a visit to the famous cathedral in Venice. Things to do in Florence are as rewarding as looking at Michelangelo’s David for the first time. In the Historic Center of Florence, which houses an unrivaled collection of artistic masterpieces, one can spend days on end digging out artistic delights. The Tuscan capital has a grandiose collection of cathedrals, squares, and cobblestone streets by the Arno River. After overdosing on art in the Uffizi Gallery, visitors in Florence should spend an afternoon strolling through Boboli Gardens and an evening by Ponte Vecchio.
Among other popular things to do in Italy include visiting fishing villages in Cinque Terre, climbing the cone-shaped Stromboli volcano in Sicily, driving along the Amalfi Coast to visit the seaside town of Positano, watching an opera at La Scala in Milan, planning a romantic weekend at a farmhouse in Umbria, skiing in Livigno during winter, and of course, eating a pizza or pasta whenever your stomach grows.

Madhumita's 5 days trip to ItalyHello ! Twilight escapades helped us in planning our Maldives trip and they did an amazing job. Everything went so smooth and we just sat back and relaxed. They arranged the stay at the same property that we wanted at even last minute and customised the plan as per our convenience.
Shivam's 10 days trip to ItalyPros 1. The hotel bookings were excellent 2. The taxi pickup and drop off was excellent 3. They followed up with us regularly on whatsapp during the course of trip 4. The visa process was excellent Cons 1. Just a few (2-3) days after payment of first installment, the agent increased the overall amount by Rs 10000 and threatened not to do the bookings if the extra amount was not paid. However, on vehement protests by us, the excess amount was rolled back. 2. The SNCF trains were cancelled due to the strikes in Paris. However, the agent didn't care to inform us that the trains are cancelled. But, we were closely monitoring the situation and we ourselves informed the agent that the train was cancelled and requested them to book alternate tickets. Then, they booked alternate tickets for us after taking extra payment. In such a case, instead of us informing the travel agent, the travel agent should have informed us about the train cancellation. Had we not been careful, the whole trip would have been spoiled 3. The return flight timings were advanced to 11:50 am instead of 1:10 pm by Aeroflot. However, the agent did not inform us. Our flight could have been missed, had we not been careful.
Raju's 9 days trip to ItalyTrip was very well planned & executed by the Responsible person Mr. Shashank, all went well as planned except 1 day driver missed the appointment & not turned up, but the contact person immediately took action & asked us to take another Taxi without waiting for the pre booked Taxi. Response of the team was good . Just few recommendations even though it is not agency mistake or might be we asked for them to booked for us so it happened that is for the Local transportation & unlimited trip passes ask travelers to buy from hotel or dly. the Passes at the hotel as collection of these passes is a little hectic job as you can collect your passes only at pre defined places if booked online. For that you have to have a Taxi to go which is is additional 15-20Euro Expense. Once again Thanks for a memorable trip.
