If you love collecting vintage goods, head over to Portici market. It is open from 7 am to 7 pm on the first and third Sundays of every month. You will have to do a little research around but this place sells one of the best second-hand jewelry and clothes. You will also find silk scarves, lace, and crystals here. Portici Market is no less than a dream for fashion lovers.
Campo de Fiori Market
Campo de Fiori is one of Rome’s oldest grocery markets, existing for more than 400 years. Even if you do not want to buy any fruits or vegetables, going there early in the morning and rubbing shoulders with locals is a refreshing experience. Campo de Fiori is open daily throughout the day. Once you are there, you will definitely be tempted to buy truffles, Italian sausages, and cheese.
Fontanella Borghese Market
Fontanella Borghese Market is another market where you will find great vintage buys. You will find vintage maps, globes, iconic old newspapers and magazines, and unique presents to take home. The market is open from 9 am to 7 pm. Some retailers will also happily tell you the story behind your purchased item.
Porta Portese Market
At Porta Portese Market, you will literally find anything under the sun. One of the best finds there are vintage photo frames, clothing, and vinyl, but you will have to do a little bit of bargaining. You will also find a lot of furniture there and if you can take it back home, definitely buy some. It is open only on Sundays. Go there early in the morning because you will have a lot of searching to do.
Mercato Monti Market
Mercato Monti is a great place to find works of young Italian designers and original second-hand items from famous designer. Everything sold here is expensive, but some bargaining will help. It is also a paradise for vintage item collectors. Mercato Monti is open all days of the week.
