About Janapada Loka in Bangalore
Janapada Loka folk art museum is famed for being the home to about more than 5000 folk objects and artifacts. Situated on the Bangalore-Mysore highway, Janapada Loka attracts a lot of tourists and artists from all across the nation. This famous attraction in Bangalore is built on a beautifully maintained, 15-acre land. Janapada Loka was found by Mr. Nage Gawda to retain and preserve the ancestral creativities and innovations. Janapada Loka Bangalore is a true representation of “Necessity is the mother of invention”.
The folk art museum is occupied with a plethora of things to see and ponder. Ramanagara Janapada Loka entertains its guests with various cultural shows, audio and video shows, open-air theatres and folk performances and also facilitates them with basic amenities like clean restrooms, quality restaurants, playgrounds for kids to spend their time at leisure and telephone booth services as well. Sprawled across acres of land, Janapada Loka houses a number within itself. Out of all, the prettiest is the entrance. It is one of the most delightful affairs among all in Janapada Loka folk art museum with carved images of Lords on the gates and brass trumpets on either side of the gate.
The entrance leads to the information centre of Janapada Loka, known as the Lok Mata Mandir. Lok Mata Mandir has everything related to the daily operations of the local folks such as farming tools and cooking utensils. Then comes the Doddamane and Chitra Kuteera. Doddamane is a big house Whatin, here at Janapada Loka all the important meetings and seminars are held. On the other hand, Chitra Kuteera is a double-storeyed building housing all the achievements of the founders of this wonderful place. Moreover, Janapada Loka Bangalore opens new ways for budding artists and gives them a platform to showcase their talents.
