About Mangalore Tourism
With a bounty of wonderful features, diverse culture, and spicy seafood dishes to pamper one’s senses, Mangalore is, inarguably, one of the most brilliant tourist attractions one has ever been to. Replete with the slender winding streets, golden beaches, picturesque gable-roofed houses, temples and churches, and exhilarating fragrance of the azure sea, this city is meant to leave its travellers amazed and spellbound.
Snuggled at the estuaries of the picturesque Netravati and Gurupur Rivers on the coast of Arabian Sea, Mangalore has been a major port on international trade routes since the 6th century. A useful gateway for the Konkan coast and inland Kodagu region, with a contrast of a relaxing coastal town and a hectic nightmare, this city has got a Jekyll and Hyde thing going.
Opt for a package of Mangalore tourism; and hop on an excursion to this vibrant city, which is a tapestry of rich culture and natural beauty, and experience an appealing and off-the-beaten-path feel, like never before! Blooming with the fantastic places, this picturesque beauty is named after the deity Mangaladevi and is often proclaimed as the gateway to Karnataka.
With an all-inclusive tour package of the city, here’s a chance to explore the most famous places to visit in Mangalore, like: Mangaladevi Temple, Kadri Manjunatha Temple, Panambur beach, Malpe beach, Someshwara beach, Tannirbavi Beach, St. Aloysius Chapel, and many more. Along with an opportunity to witness the unique charm of Mother Nature that leaves one aghast and rejuvenated, at the same time!
What’s more? Thanks to its diverse culture, a huge flock of tourists visits here to discover the rich history of Mangalore which has been ruled by various empires from the ancient time, including Kadambas, Rashtrakutas, Chalukyas, Vijaynagar Empire, Portuguese, and the British. The mesmerizing past and its indescribable beauty, together make this port city- a destination worth visiting.
Besides its geographical location, the calm and scenic beauty of Mangalore also makes it a delight for its travellers. With a view of vastly stretched golden sand and azure sea, where everything that defines confinement seems to fade away, a visitor here finds solace and fun along the shoreline. Crammed with choices to lounge on a spectacular Mangalore beach, partake in adventurous activities, like surfing, parasailing, trekking, snorkeling, and many more, savour delectable seafood cuisines, and make a visit to famous temples in Mangalore, here’s not a single moment to get bored!
Renowned for its beautiful, exotic, lustrous and virgin beaches, Mangalore city is also termed as the ' Entry point to Beach Country'. On a Mangalore sightseeing tour, do visit to the Ullal Beach which grabs attention of thousands of tourists all through the year, and another important beach called- Karwar Beach where the golden sand is incessantly caressed by the gentle waves of the turquoise Arabian Sea; for a quench for the ultimate solace an explorer has been looking for ends here! Blessed with astonishing beaches, ancient architectures, and swaying coconut palms, this coming age commercialized city still manages to provide a soothing sojourn away from the hustle bustle.
