Srinagar literally means, “Beautiful City.” Its title could not be apter. Srinagar is the largest city and the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. A beautiful mixture of cultures in food, music, art, and architecture, there are many beautiful places to visit in Srinagar.

Taking conventional guide for tourist attractions in Srinagar leads travelers to mesmerizing sights such as Shalimar Bagh. This sprawling Mughal garden is an absolute beauty and it is linked through a channel to Dal Lake. Urban lakes have their own charm and Dal Lake is no different. Second largest in Jammu and Kashmir, this lake is one of the top places to visit in Srinagar. Both these locations, one man made and the other natural, are two of the greatest examples of Srinagar tourist attractions.

Srinagar is a great travel destination in terms of religious significance and spiritual journeys. Looking up places to visit in and around Srinagar eventually leads to Shankaracharya Temple. This 371 B.C. architecture is also known as Jyesteshwara temple or Pas-Pahar by Buddhists, later renamed as Takht-e-Suleiman, and is considered holy by all religions. No less impressive is Old Srinagar’s Jamia Masjid with its capacity of over thirty thousand at a time.

Sightseeing in Srinagar is incomplete without a trip to Sonamarg. With snow-capped mountains, Thajiwas Glacier, and open meadows, Sonamarg is truly one of the finest places to visit in Srinagar. Beauty at its very best, Sonamarg is even more pleasant during the summer. Another similar point of interest is Shankaracharya Hill on which the Shankaracharya temple is located. With panoramic views of Srinagar in its entirety, this place is a wonderland.

Shardul's 4 days trip to Srinagar

The hotels were good and clean. With professional staff. However they were all very far away from city center. In case of gulmarg the hotel was about 13 km away from the intended location which changes the topography and ecology of the region. The travel agent also forgot to pay to the hotel causing unnecessary delays.

Dinesh's 7 days trip to Srinagar

We had a worst experience with amazing India routes. We were told that hotels are 4 star but was given 1 star or 2 star. Hotel in gulmarg dining area stinks. Hotel in pahalgam was even worst(Woods resort) it is a old building with no safety at all. See the view from hotel as attached here. Hotel in Srinagar was better but I had book my hotel seperately as I didn't want to stay there. Travel company has no idea about requirements. They totally messed it up on my anniversary.

Sonalin's 5 days trip to Srinagar

We did had overall a good experience with travel Triangle. Thank you Arsh for curating the itinerary as per the requirement. But two things we faced during the travel which have us a bitter experience: 1. We were not intimated about the actual cost of the union cabs and guide which we needed too pay additionally. It would have been great if we knew the additional approximate amount. 2. The amount of time people demanding tip ..
