Regina's 6 days trip to SrinagarExcellent service on the whole! Anniversary cake was given complimentary by the agency which added to the essence of the trip. Thank u
Vivek's 5 days trip to SrinagarMy review is segregated in three parts: 1) about our travel agent 2) about our driver 3) about our trip Let me start my review by talking about Peacock holidays, our travel agent. We were introduced to them by Travel triangle and we planned our trip from Mumbai between 11th Jan and 16th Jan. We were four of us this was our first trip to Kashmir and our experience with Peacock was one of the best that we have had so far. We told them about our budget, and they planned it well and did not give us a chance to be disappointed. They made our experience and journey memorable and that’s what any traveller would like to take away at the end of the trip. Peacock Holidays are managed by Mr. Rahil and Mrs. Saika, both are very efficient in their planning and co-ordination. Special thanks to Mrs. Saika for following up with us daily and checking our whereabouts. She also met us personally on our first day and that was indeed a great gesture from her end. We were supposed to head back home on the 16th, but our flights had to be rescheduled due to heavy snow, which extended our stay by another three days. Mrs. Saika helped us in arranging our stay for the extended period and followed up with us even after the trip was officially ended. I would recommend everyone travelling to Kashmir to plan their trip through Peacock Holidays. About our driver - We were allotted a driver named Aakash, who is a part of Peacock Holidays. He was very friendly and co-operative. He was not only best at his driving, but also was great in building a rapport with us. Never did we feel like being with a stranger, he was very friendly and ensured that we had a great time. He has great driving skills and trust me, driving on roads with snow all over is not an easy task. There is a high chance that the vehicle can lose its balance, but Aakash was perfect in his driving skills and took good care of us. When our flights got cancelled on 16th Jan, the airlines were giving us new tickets (without any additional cost) on the 27th of Jan. Since a lot of flights were cancelled due to snow, none of the airlines had tickets to any destination for next 7 days at least. Aakash helped us in arranging new tickets through an agent for 19th Jan at an affordable price. It is very difficult to get tickets at affordable prices just three days before the journey, kudos to Aakash for helping us on this. He went out of the box to help us and that’s what made him the best. Do ask for Aakash as the driver when you plan your trip through Peacock Holidays. About our trip – on our first day(11th Jan), after we landed at Sri Nagar Airport, we directly went to a houseboat at Nigel Lake. Once we reached Nigel, a Shikara(boat) was ready to pick us up and drop us at the houseboat. The houseboat was owned by Peacock holidays and was very nicely maintained. The houseboat was as big as 1200 Sq Ft 2BHK apartment. The view outside the boat was beautiful and it was totally worth staying there. I would recommend choosing a houseboat at Nigel lake only, as Dal lake is very noisy as it a commercial place too. Also, Nigel lake has more quality houseboats than Dal lake. On the second day, post our breakfast, we left for Pahalgam. The view while travelling to Pahalgam was breath-taking. Trust me, your money will be totally worth for this alone. We stayed in a hotel named “Hotel Moonview”. Most of the hotels in Pahalagm were closed due to extreme climate and Snowfall. The temperature ranged anywhere between (-)6 to (-) 12 during our stay. Our hotel was the only one functioning and the hotel was nice and the view outside the hotel was simply amazing. We experienced heavy snowfall on this day, because of which we had to stay back in Pahalgam for another day. A Srinagar one our fourth day. We were placed in a hotel named “ Hotel Royal Milad”. On this day, we cover Dal Lake and Mogul Gardens. I would advise people to take a Shikara ride at Dal lake too. It’s a very big lake and our entire ride went upto 90 mins. On the fifth day, we went to Gulmarg and it was simply beautiful. Gulmarg had most of the activities that can be done on snow and we spent our entire day there. During winters, the vehicle goes only till a certain point, post which you have a hire a chained vehicle which can climb up the hill which is covered with snow. The normal vehicles cannot run on those roads and can be prone to accidents. Aakash bhai helped us in getting a chained vehicle and arranged a guide to help us cover all the points. Its advisable that you hire a guide so that you can cover all the important points. Our guide was also named Tanveer and he helped us in negotiating with the locals there for our rides. I can tell you that he helped us in getting a good deal for all our activities out there, as most of my friends ended up paying double the rate for the activities in Gulmarg. On the sixth day (16th Jan), while we were heading to the airport, we were informed by the airlines that our flight is cancelled due to heavy snow and they were giving us a rescheduled ticket for the 27th of Jan, which was too late. As mentioned above, Aakash bhai helped us getting a ticket in a reasonable price for the 19th.and Mrs. Saika helped us in getting a accommodation done at Royal Milad again for the extended days. We really appreciated the extended support provided by Aakash and Mrs. Saika even after our trip ended. Overall, we were happy with the arrangements done by Peacock and returned home with great memories. I will recommend everyone to chose Peacock Holidays while planning your trip to Kashmir.
Naresh's 6 days trip to SrinagarVery good service provided by our dream valley travel agency..I would like to recommend this travel agency to tourists who are willing to visit kashmir...best experience in srinagar..try to provide good hotel than gulmarg house in gulmarg.. Gulmarg is nice place..
Anupama's 4 days trip to SrinagarHotel Encore at Srinagar was worst, although they say it a 4 star, it is not even worth of 2 star, room service was very bad, bathroom and room was very bad. I suggest not to take this hotel. We were really scared to stay at that hotel. Enden resort at pahalgam was very good but the room service was very bad, they don't even take our calls , there was no TV, no proper room heater which is very essential in winter. Pine spring at gulmarg was excellent, room service was very good, hospitality was awesome, I wish to stay at this hotel for my next visit. Food was good at Encorr, Srinagar, Okay at Eden resorts , pahalgam and awesome, delicious at Pine spring, gulmarg. Cab service was excellent and driver Mehraaz was understanding, cooperative and given excellent service.
Aman's 6 days trip to SrinagarBest travel agent for hill stations... Polite and helpful for customers... We got stuck on srinagar Highway in January 2020 while we are going for trip. He understood our situation and change our destination for trip.....Happy to hire Umar as our travel agent...
Kiran's 4 days trip to SrinagarFirstly I have to mention about cab drivers Muddasir and Parwez Ahmed who helped us a lot by guiding and their behavior like family members. Staff at hotels and boat house are supportive and their service towards customer is good. Next, Kashmir Holiday travels given best quote and executed as per the itinerary without any flaws. Finally, everyone made our trip a most memorable. I surely recommend Travel Triangle.
Bhavika's 8 days trip to SrinagarThe hotels given to me initially for the first 2 days were different then the actual hotels given by the travel agent in the package. He gave some unacceptable reasons for changing the hotels. Also on 31st Dec i had a booking for an overnight stay at Gulmarg, however after reaching the site I was been told by the hotel staff that their is no booking done by the travel agent. I had to request the Hotel Manager to give us an accomadation and I had to pay for it separately. This ruined my entire experience of the trip with the travel agent.
Kashidsh's 7 days trip to SrinagarHello, I had good vacation at kashmir for 6N and 7D. Its great place to visit and safe to travel without any issues.
