Munnar To Chennai By Air: The aerial distance between Chennai and Munnar is 477 km. There are no direct flights from Chennai to Munnar. However, you can take a flight to Cochin International Airport (COK) which is at a distance of 107 km from Munnar. It takes about 1 to 1.5 hrs from Chennai to COK Airport. IndiGo, Air India and SpiceJet provide flights that operate on a daily basis. You can take a cab from the airport to reach your destination.

Munnar To Chennai By Train: There are no direct trains from Chennai to Munnar. However, one can take a train from Chennai to Aluva Railway Station, which is about 110 km away from Munnar. Chennai to Munnar train fare is about INR 400 for sleeper class and around INR 1000 for AC sleeper. You can then take a bus or taxi to Munnar from Aluva.

Munnar To Chennai By Road: The road distance between Chennai and Munnar is 586 km. It takes about 12 hours to cover Chennai to Munnar distance by road. Munnar being a hill station, there is no bad time to visit really. Every season has it's own charm in the city.
