How to reach camping spots in Ladakh

Travelling to Leh can be done by air, train or road depending upon your comfort and budget. From there, either you can take a taxi or a bus to reach your destination in Ladakh. Manali Leh Highway is more popular for camping in Ladakh. It is around 476 KMs long. Tandi, Jispa, Keylong, Sarchu, Pang are the popular camping spots on this route. Srinagar Leh Highway is another famous camping route which is around 434 KMs long. The camping spots in Srinagar Leh route are available at Drass, Kargil, Shargol, Tingmosgang and Sham Valley.

A much-loved destination for camping, Nubra Valley is located at 159 KMs. It can be reached by Khardung La road in four hours and thirty-nine minutes. It can be reached through Pangong Lake road by four hours and forty-nine minutes or through Khardung La road by seven hours thirty-nine minutes. Tso Moriri Lake is 220 KMs from Leh and can be reached via Keylong to Leh road in Leh-Manali Highway by four hours and fifty-four minutes. Sarchu is very popular among tourists for camping since it is the starting point of the Zanskar trek. The area of Sarchu provides an astounding adventure for camping enthusiasts. Sarchu is 490 KMs long and from Leh, it is 260 KMs. It takes six hours sixteen minutes to reach Sarchu by road. Sarchu can be reached via Keylong to Leh road in Leh-Manali Highway.
