White water rafting is a popular activity among adventure lovers.

The perilous thrill it gives while rafting is unimaginable. Though it is dangerous at some levels, many love to do white water rafting for the daring experience. White water rafting is very popular in Ladakh region of Jammu & Kashmir. Rafting in Ladakh is mostly preferred by the audacious people who love to enjoy the hard core adventure with the beautiful views of majestic mountains, serene monasteries, amusing lakes and wonderful villages. Water rafting in Ladakh is carried out in the Indus River which flows across Ladakh and Zanskar River which is a northern tributary of Indus. The best time to do rafting is between June and August for the high water stream at this time.

Zanskar River meets Indus River at the point of Nimmo. The popular routes for rafting are from Phey to Nimo, from Upshi to Kharu or from Upshi to Nimo. The route from Phey to Saspol and Kharu to Spituk is preferred by beginners. Experienced rafters try Alchi and Khaltsey route on the Indus River and Chilling to Nimmo route on the Zanskar River. Villages like Nimmo and Phey are the suitable spots for camping while rafting. The difficulty grade ranges from I to V based on the river flow, Rafter's fitness and expertise in rafting.

Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh town is the nearest airport to the rafting spot. One can use this well-connected airport and reach Leh and choose the available mode of transport such as taxi or bus to reach the rafting destination. To reach the rafting site by train, one needs to get down at Jammu station which is the nearest railway station to Zanskar valley. Located at 690 KMs from Zanskar Valley, Jammu station is connected to many major cities in India. Choose traveling by road only during the summer season for the ease of travel. Leh can be reached by road via State Highways. Only during July and October, regular bus services are available on alternate days between Leh and Srinagar. The road will be closed in the remaining months due to snow. Also by hiring a vehicle from Kargil, you can reach Padum. Based on your comfort and budget, choose the right travel mode and enjoy the sensational White Water Rafting sport at Ladakh.

Poonam's 6 days trip to Ladakh

Hi Team, Thank you for arranging the trip. Overall, the experience was good, but I’d like to share two points of feedback: 1. The food arrangements could have been better. 2. As a solo female traveler, being placed in a backup vehicle was not very comfortable. It would have been more convenient and reassuring if a proper vehicle arrangement had been made. Hope this helps improve the experience for future travelers.

Anmol's 7 days trip to Ladakh

We booked our Ladakh trip with Travo Guider and it turned out to be an amazing experience. Even though it was an impromptu plan, Vivek was extremely patient and proactive in arranging everything smoothly at such short notice. There was a small issue with the standard of one of the hotels, but Vivek handled it very gracefully and managed to arrange a better hotel for us within 30 minutes, which was truly impressive. A big thanks to our driver, Mr. Dorjay. Not only was he very experienced, but also a kind and wonderful person who made our journey even more memorable. Overall, the support and dedication of Vivek and team made our Ladakh trip hassle-free and truly enjoyable. We are very happy with their service and would definitely recommend them. Wishing the team lots of success ahead! with Travo Guider and it turned out to be an amazing experience.

Ateesh's 8 days trip to Ladakh

Overall good experience. Though a 7 day plan must always include Hemis Monastry which was missing in our plan. Also, in Nubra Valley stay should be in Hunder and not Sumoor which is far away. Very helpful driver which made the whole trip comfortable.

Rishabh's 13 days trip to Ladakh

Deepika did a good job in organising the tour. Special appreciation for the driver Singay and the local representative Yukey. We hardly had any trouble during the journey. Would like to suggest that the camp at pangong can be better. Overall was a good experience at what we felt was a fair price.

Saveetha's 5 days trip to Ladakh

Response from both travel triangle & Priyanshu of Amazing India routes is very good. Amenities of Hotel Ladakh place are simple & fair enough. Hospitality of the hotel staff is extremely good, we just got pampered by them. Driver is also decent. I look forward to go on more trips with travel triangle. Pangong lake, khardungla pass, beautiful mountains, lake and snow. Simply loved them.

Saikat's 11 days trip to Ladakh

We have recently completed the trip (10 Nights-11Days) to Leh - Kargil- Ladakh - Manali with Amazing India Routes, and we had an amazing experience with their arrangements, as per our requirements and preferences. Best part was on-trip support provided by the Amazing India team (Priyanshu). There was a blocker on our trip: Nubra valley to Pangong. Agent called me up-front inside the trip and accommodated the itinerary the to best possibility so that my trip is not hampered. It provide me complete peace of mind while travelling. Cab and driver quality was great through out the tour(Xylo for Local, Innova for outstation. Hotels and camps at Leh, Nubra, Pangong, Tsomiri was great. But improvement needs for the Hotels at Kargil. Overall its a great experience- 4.5 star
