Indore is the largest city in Madhya Pradesh and is located on the banks of Saraswati and Khan rivers.

Being an important tourism as well as commercial hub, Indore is laden with excellent roads, rail and air connectivity with the rest of India. For the convenience of the tourists, there are regular services of bus, flights and trains to travel the Indore route. People from major cities in India visit Indore to relish their vacation in the in its beauty. The Bhopal to Indore distance is around 200 kms. The distance from Delhi to Indore is around 900 kilometres, from Mumbai to Indore is 585 kms, and from Pune to Indore is 594 kms. For those wondering how to reach Indore by train, road or flight, listed below are some alternatives.

Delhi To Indore By Flight :

The aerial distance between New Delhi and Indore is 670 km. It is covered in a duration of 1 hr 20 m. If you wish to travel from New Delhi to Indore by flight, make sure to reserve tickets in advance. Fares may go up during the peak/festive season. Some of the airlines that operate from New Delhi (DEL) to Indore (IDR) are IndiGo, AirAsia and Air India. Fares may be cheaper during the off season i.e. during the summer season in Indore but holidays might affect the prices. On reaching Indore airport, you can either take a cab or an auto available outside the airport.

Delhi To Indore By Bus

The distance between Delhi and Indore by road is 837.0 km which takes 15 h 21 m to cover. If you wish to travel from Delhi to Indore by bus, take the bus with minimum stops and fastest route. There are almost 2 trains running from New Delhi to Indore on a daily basis. Apart from that, there are altogether five trains that run every week from New Delhi to Indore. The rail distance between New Delhi and Indore is 817 kms which is covered in 13 h 45 m. This is the least time taken to reach Indore from New Delhi.

The Indore distance from any state in India can be covered with ease due to the presence of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar airport which is just 8 kilometres away from the centre of the city. If travelling from any major city in India  like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, Udaipur, Nagpur, Bhopal and Delhi to Indore, one can avail direct flights from a diverse range of airlines providing this services. Lying on the longest functional metre gauge line in India, Indore is one of the few places where both metre Gauge and Broad gauge railway tracks operate. At one point, these lines intersect each other and form a diamond crossing. There are many railway stations in Indore including Indore Junction, Lakshmibai Nagar, Lokmanya Nagar, Fatehabad Chowk Junction making it easier for anyone to travel to Indore by train. There are direct trains from the major cities in India like Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Ahmedabad to Indore. The Madhya Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (MPSRTC) provides frequent buses from neighbouring cities to Indore.

The trip was ok. The driver aligned on Day-1 was very rude. Dint know the way to talk to guest. He was very frustrating and irritating person. Dint even know how to drive, I would have rated driver 0, but the driver on day2 was good, hence I have given 3 stars. The travel agent was supportive, however it seems there were gaps as what were discussed with him and planned. We had a flight landing at 7 and when we visited hotel, the manager told us that the checkin would be at 12 pm. On calling the travel agent he said that the hotel arrangment is on the basis of availability. Ideally he should have told me earlier if this was the situation. Also his alignment with the cab agency was also not good. The cab agent was telling something and the travel agent said something else. I mean this kind of scenarios would have been avoided if they had a better planning before my visit. I bit disappointed with the experience I had this time. I have been travelling with travel triangle from quite some time and things have been great. Hoping to have better services in future.

The only part was ventilation system of hotel although the room services were better.
