By Air
The Indore distance from any state in India can be covered with ease due to the presence of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar airport which is just 8 kilometres away from the centre of the city. If travelling from any major city in India like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, Udaipur, Nagpur, Bhopal and Delhi to Indore, one can avail direct flights from a diverse range of airlines providing this services. They include Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Air Sahara, Kingfisher Airlines and Deccan Aviation. However, international flights are not as frequent here. Taxis and buses are readily available from outside the airport to travel the Indore route.
By Train
Lying on the longest functional metre gauge line in India, Indore is one of the few places where both metre Gauge and Broad gauge railway tracks operate. At one point, these lines intersect each other and form a diamond crossing. There are many railway stations in Indore including Indore Junction, Lakshmibai Nagar, Lokmanya Nagar, Fatehabad Chowk Junction making it easier for anyone to travel to Indore by train. There are direct trains from the major cities in India like Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Ahmedabad to Indore. Indore also has short distance trains covering Indore distance to nearby towns and villages. From the railway station, taxi and cabs are easily available to travel to any part of the city.
By Road
Since Indore is very well connected to different parts of India, Indore distance from any city can be covered by road very conveniently.
