Tropical Spice Garden in Penang is spread in an area of 8 acres, where one can witness around 500 different species of flora and fauna. Located on the road from Teluk Bahang junction, the park has three beautiful garden trails that take you through splendid streams, waterfalls, and few figures and structures made from reused organic material. The spice garden has won many awards for being one of its kind and using organic recycled material in its construction. It is one of the most visited places by tourists in Malaysia. You can get a guided tour to the park or if you want to stroll as per your convenience, you can opt for an audio tour. There is also an option to explore the garden at night.
Things to do at Tropical Spice Garden Penang
Trekking
The park has three jungle trails known as the spice trail, the ornamental trail, and the jungle trail. One can go trekking and explore all the treks and witness different sections of the park. Each section features a different variety of spice, herbs, jungle flora, and aquatic plants.
Cooking Classes
One can also try their hand at cooking classes in Tropical Spice Garden, Malaysia. Hone your culinary skills in the recently opened Culinary School in the garden. Learn to prepare the meal from scratch using spices and herbs from the park.
Dine and Shop
The spice garden also has a restaurant and a gift shop on its premises. Try Asian-Thai lip-smacking food in the Tree Monkey Restaurant, the restaurant is settled in a beautiful location and promises you with unparalleled views. The gift shop sells all the different types of spices, textiles consisting of t-shirts, stationery, spa products, and toiletries. You can also get books on horticulture literature which can be used by beginners as well as by professionals. Garden shop in the estate offers you with the potted plant as a memento.
