1. Adventure activities at the Sky Tower

Other than being home to multiple bars, nightclubs, and restaurants and offering a spectacular view of the city, Sky Tower also offers two extreme sports to indulge in which is the Sky Jump from the height of 192 metres and Sky Walk along the outer edge of the tower. 2. Hiking and kayaking in Rangitoto Island

Rangitoto is a dormant volcano off the coast of Auckland. It can be reached by a 25 minute ferry from the main city or by the causeway from Motutapu Island. A hike to the summit through the old lava flows will offer an excellent view across the harbour. Down in the water, one can hire a kayak for a tour of the harbour during sunset.  

3. Wine tasting in Waiheke Islands

Only a 35-minute ferry ride away is the dreamland for wine connoisseurs. The island with mesmerising beaches, sprawling vineyards, and some 30 wineries is a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the main city. 4. Bridge Climb and Bungee Jumping at the Auckland Harbour Bridge

Auckland Harbour Bridge is one of the few special bridges which you are allowed to climb without being declared senile. Among all the fun stuff to do in Auckland, this is quite adventurous. This is a fun climb, where on is guided on every step of the way by a trained professional, and finally rewarded with a 360°C view of Auckland at the end. 5. Cross-country hike

Cross-country hike usually means a schedule of multiple days, but with New Zealand, it can be done in 5 hours. From Viaduct Harbour on Auckland’s east coast to Manukau Harbour on the west coast, the 16 km coast to coast hike is characterised by urban landscapes as well as beautiful pastures and dormant volcanoes.
