Itinerary

Day 1: Port Blair, North Bay & Cellular Jail

Your 4 nights 5 days Andaman Nicobar tour from Kerala starts as you land at Port Blair Airport, where a representative meets you and transfers you to your hotel for check-in. After lunch and a short rest, head to the harbour for a boat ride to North Bay Island, where a glass-bottom boat gives you the coral and reef fish without getting wet, and Corbyn’s Cove Beach is a short drive for a quiet hour by the sea. In the evening, watch the Light and Sound Show at the Cellular Jail, which tells the story of India’s freedom fighters. Overnight in Port Blair. (Meals: none. Transfers and stay included.)

Day 2: Ferry to Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) & Radhanagar Beach

After an early breakfast, check out and take the scenic ferry across to Havelock Island, officially Swaraj Dweep, a ride of roughly 90 minutes to 2.5 hours depending on the vessel. Check in, drop your bags, then spend the afternoon at Radhanagar Beach, the wide west-facing curve that TIME magazine listed among Asia’s best. It is calm enough to swim and faces due west, so it is where everyone gathers for the sunset. Aim to be there by 4 pm. Overnight on Havelock. (Meals: breakfast. Day 3: Havelock, Elephant Beach & Snorkelling

Wake to breakfast, then take a shared speedboat of about 40 minutes to Elephant Beach, one of the best snorkelling spots in the islands thanks to its shallow, clear water and easy reef. You can also kayak the mangrove fringe, try a sea walk, or simply stay on the sand. Back to your Havelock hotel for the night. (Meals: breakfast. Sightseeing, transfers and stay included.)

Day 4: Back to Port Blair, Ross Island & Chidiya Tapu

After breakfast and the return ferry to Port Blair, visit the Water Sports Complex and cross to historic Ross Island (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Dweep) to walk among the ruins of the old British administrative buildings. Later, head to Chidiya Tapu, the birdwatchers’ point on the southern tip, for one of the best sunsets on the main island. Overnight in Port Blair. (Meals: breakfast. Day 5: Departure

How to Reach Andaman from Kerala

There are no direct flights or ships from Kerala to the Andamans. Every route connects through a mainland hub. By air is fastest. Fly from Kochi (COK), Trivandrum (TRV) or Calicut (CCJ) to Port Blair (IXZ) via Chennai, Bengaluru or Hyderabad, with total travel time around 5 to 7 hours including the layover. By sea, government passenger ships sail to Port Blair from Chennai, the nearest mainland port to Kerala, taking roughly 60 hours. You would first reach Chennai by train or flight. Most Kerala travellers fly via Chennai or Bengaluru. Port Blair is about 1,400 km by air from Kochi.
