  • Amarnath in Kashmir: Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Amarnath Cave in Kashmir is a must visit for those looking to seek the Lord’s blessings. The lingam here is formed naturally every year from the water that steadily drips into the cave, thereby being considered a miracle. The trek to this place is strenuous, but one look at the pure white ice lingam will take away all your troubles.
  • Vaishno Devi in Jammu: The Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu is a major pilgrimage spot, attracting thousands of devotees in a day. The trek up to the summit, where the actual temples are is one that can be done comfortably, and while enjoying some gorgeous views.
  • Ajmer Sharif in Ajmer: A dargah that people of all religions can visit, be it a Hindu, a Mualim, a Christian or so on. Ajmer Sharif, the tomb of Moinuddin Chisti, is a place full of mysticism, aromatic incense and melodious Sufi music. The serenity is such that you are sure to lose and then find yourself here.
  • Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh: A must visit pilgrimage spot for people in the southern part of the country, Tirupati is one of the most affluent temples in the world. People don’t just donate money and gold here, but also donate their hair when asking for a wish to come true.
  • Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain: One of the 12 important jyotirlingas, the Mahakaleshwar Temple, located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, is a must visit. Perched on the banks of the Rudra Sagar lake, the temple is home to several festivals and ceremonies that a devout Hindu mustn't miss.

We booked our tour through Taking a Break Holidays, and overall, the agency did a great job. Ramiz was incredibly helpful with planning our itinerary and was very accommodating when we asked to switch some of our hotels. The other hotels they booked for us were exactly what we asked for. However,
we had a major issue with Pandawa Beach Resort. It was nothing like the online reviews—there was virtually no staff, no functioning kitchen, zero hygiene, and no food available. I really wish we had asked Ramiz to change this hotel for us as well. Additionally, while our driver was excellent and very professional, the car provided wasn't very comfortable. Good service from the agency, but definitely avoid that specific resort!
