Pune To Jaipur By Rail: There are direct trains from Pune to Jaipur and this journey takes about 21 hours. The fastest and most convenient train is the Pune Jaipur Express. You can also enjoy a luxurious train ride via the “Palace of Wheels” where you can get several luxurious amenities like air-conditioned rooms, a games room and drinking cart.  

Pune To Jaipur By Road:  For those traveling by road, there is no direct bus from Pune to Jaipur. You can take a flight from Pune to New Delhi and then travel by state transport bus from Delhi to Jaipur. The entire journey takes about 10 hours.

There is an annual literary festival, Jaipur Literature Festival, which happens around Jan and Feb every year. Described as the ‘greatest literary show on Earth’, the JLF is the world’s largest free event of its kind. It is a must to go for if in Jaipur around that time.

A composite ticket will cover your entrance fees for five of Jaipur’s major monuments: Jantar Mantar, Albert Hall (Central Museum), Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort and Nahargarh Fort. The ticket costs Rs 50 for Indian citizens, Rs 1,000 for foreigners and Rs 30 for Indian students and is valid for two days. This ticket is available at the booking counter of all of the five venues.

Autos are the most viable mode of transport except for when it gets too hot. Cabs also are very easily available. The city bus, a new addition for the tourists is a hop-on-hop-off service which is quite efficient. Though normal bus service is also available, we wouldn't recommend it for the tourists.
