How to Reach spots for Cable Car Ride

Traveling in Gangtok is not complete without riding a cable car. This ride is 1 km long and operates for 30-minutes. Gangtok ropeway enables an astounding view of the magnificent Gangtok town. Enjoying the sceneries of this town at higher elevation is an awesome experience. Watching the snow clad Kanchenjunga peaks, mighty valleys and a dazzling river flowing 3500 feet below is a once in a lifetime experience. There are three stops in this cable car ride. The bustling market of Deorali bazaar is the boarding point of the cable car ride. The next station is Namnang and the top most station is in Tashiling next to the Secretariat. You can get down at any point and go for sight-seeing in that place.  But it is recommended to take the two way trip to enjoy the complete views of this spectacular town. The ticket is charged for two way trip irrespective of the stop you get off. The view is especially spell bounding on the return trip of the cable car. The colourful Gangtok market, stupendous State Assembly hall and many more hot spots of Gangtok can also be viewed during the cable car ride. You can take pictures of the beautiful views of Gangtok town by sliding the glass panel on either side of the Cable car.
