Cable Car Ride in Gangtok

The entire journey of cable car provides a spectacular view of Gangtok market, valley, and assembly hall of state of Sikkim on its 15 to 20 minutes journey. The lowest station is at Deorali near Institute of Tibetology. The whole of Gangtok township and if you look down below where you started, you will see the Deorali bazaar. These three stations give a different view from each other. Derail gives the view of Deorali Bazaar, Tashiling gives the view of worship places and Namnang gives the view of cities. Most important another side they give the full view of Kangchenjunga peak. From the road, a stairway leads up to the ticket counter. There is a waiting room at the same level, wait your turn and then take an elevator to the cable car station about 100ft above. Look down and you can see a river flowing some 3500 feet below.
