One can board a direct flight from Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport in Mumbai which takes around 2 hours while a connecting Pune to Sikkim flight takes around 5 hours of travel time. By Air

The Bagdogra airport is around 124 kilometers from Gangtok and you can take a cab or taxi from the airport to the city.

By Train

If you want to travel to Sikkim by train, the nearest railway stations to Gangtok are the Siliguri and New Jalpaiguri stations. Travel by train from Pune to these stations and then travel by cab or taxi to any part of Sikkim, including the capital Gangtok. A taxi or cab generally costs around INR 1500. There is also a jeep service to Gangtok on a sharing basis that will cost you around INR 120 per person.

By Road

There are regular buses that will take you from Pune to Sikkim. These buses are run by the Sikkim Nationalized Transport and you should book these tickets in advance. From the bus stop, you can easily get a shared cab or taxi to Gangtok.
