There is no doubt that this place is on a very well traversed route as well. It is a good idea to know all the ins and outs of the city route. The closest city to this historic landmark is the capital city of Sri Lanka – Colombo itself.

Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, Sri Lanka is a one hour drive away from St. Wolvendaal Church. The distance of thirty kilometers is a breeze and it worth knowing how to reach visit St. Wolvendaal Church from Bandaranaike International Airport. The easiest way is definitely to take E03 Highway and follow it straight past Ragama and Peliyagoda to reach the monument. But this route has tolls along its course. A faster route might be to take E03 Highway and then peel off to Canal Road and follow it straight to the church. Popular traveling options include tuk-tuk rides and cabs.

From Colombo Harbor, the best route is to take AC6 Highway, but its use is restricted. A smarter route might be to take Colombo Port Main Road to AC20 and then move onto Darley Road via AC6. This thirty-minute journey (by car) is roughly eight and a half kilometers away from Colombo Harbor. The common routes include AC6, A2, and A4 Highways. They all take the same time to reach. In that case, it would be advisable to not take a cab throughout. The Tuk-tuk rides are particularly famous here and offer city-wide tour packages.

We had 7 night stay at 6 different hotels. We have asked and paid for 4 star hotel catagory. Thre hotels at Sigiriya, Seeduwa and Nuwara Eliya were not good. The hotel at Nuwara Eliya was of a home stay catagory. Agent should have booked better hotels.

I am thankful to whole TravelTriangle team and Ms. Chetna for arranging and helping us for our tour. Besides few bitter experiences, we are overall satisfied. Best moment was our visit to Bhakta Hanuman Temple and Chinmaya Mission managed Restaurant there. Actually, the meal severed there was pure veg and like prasadam.
