Tips for Botanical Garden

• The gardens are beautiful and scenic place that will always remain in your mind even after a single visit. However, keep some information about the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, in mind to make your trip memorable. Please wear comfortable shoes for a trek around the garden. Peradeniya Garden is at least 60 hectares and your trip might be cut short if your footwear is not comfortable
• The garden has numerous fruit bats. Please do not disturb these animals as they may attack you if instigated on purpose
• You will be given a garden map before starting your tour of the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. You may have to return these maps, so please keep them safe till you come out of the tourist attraction
• If you purchase anything from the shops, please have all the items packed and the bill safe as you may be stopped at customs sections in the airport. You can show them the bill and will be allowed to pass through the security checks.
