There is no airport in Coonoor town. The nearest airport from Coonoor is Coimbatore International Airport (CJB), which is about 70 km away. Daily flights from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in New Delhi to Coimbatore Airport are provided by IndiGo airlines. Air India, Jet Airways, and Alliance Air run flights from Delhi to Coonoor with at least one stop-over, usually in Bangalore. It takes about 4 hours to travel from Delhi to Coonoor by flight.

After landing at the airport in Coimbatore, travellers can hire a taxi or take a toy train ride to visit Coonoor. It takes about 2 hours from Coimbatore to Coonoor via taxi.

Delhi to Coonoor by Train

There is no direct rail connectivity from Delhi to Coonoor. Travellers must switch at least one train at Coimbatore (CBE) or Mettupalayam (MTP) junctions to reach Coonoor by train. Himsagar Express and Navyug Express, both running once a week, along with Kerala Express are major trains from Delhi to Coimbatore.
