By Air: Technically, it is not possible to travel to Hyderabad to Rameshwaram by air, since there is no airport in Rameshwaram. The closest airport to Rameshwaram is in Madurai, and it is almost 170 kms away from the city. One can easily reach from Madurai airport to Rameshwaram via road transfer or trains. However, given the time and expenses it would take to travel from Hyderabad to Rameshwaram by flight, it does not make sense to choose this option. It would be advisable to check out road transfer options or trains.

 

By Road: If planning to travel from Hyderabad to Rameshwaram by road, it is a good idea to take a private taxi or drive one’s own vehicle. The roads are well maintained, and the journey is scenic enough to make it worth the effort. Traveling from Hyderabad to Rameshwaram by bus is also a good option for a more budget-friendly and laid-back trip.

 

By Train: There is only one direct Hyderabad to Rameshwaram train, but that is no reason to fret, since there are plenty of train options wherein one can change a train and reach Rameshwaram most easily. This is also a budget-friendly option as compared to self-driven vehicles, and is bound to be more comfortable, as compared to overnight buses.

Experience was good. All things went smooth. The last though was very bad. Neither the room nor the food there was good. For getting rooms everywhere we have to wait for 30 mins despite reaching after checkin time because they don't have confirmation of booking. So that's can be improved. Cab person was nice. He drove safe and drop us on time.

Booked my trip to Rameshwaram, Madurai and Kanyakumari with Shree ganpati Travels. Everything was good except Hotel Rameshwaram grand as the allotted room smelt of damp. Special thanks to the driver who was of good nature. On trip coordination provided by the Shree Ganpati Travels was very good whereas no one from Travel Triangle bothered to enquire about our journey. Overall, the trip was designed and organised well. Appreciations to Mr Sachin. Hotels are good at all the places, particularly Grand Ashok at Thanjavur is excellent in all aspects. Whereas, the Grande Inn at Trichi is good but very small in size , hardly any space to move , keep the luggage, definitely not suitable for guests on holidays. Hotels at other places are good. Special appreciation to Mr. Chammy, the driver who is sincere, committed, courteous, highly knowledgeable about the itenery. The car provided was Ford Figo considerably a good vehicle but some issues in AC. This should be ensured in future. Finally, thanks to Travel Triangle for well organised tour.
