Rameshwaram has something or the other to offer to visitors of all age types and preferences, from children to the elderly, from families to couples and from friends to solo travelers. Some of the most popular Rameshwaram attractions include the Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple, also known as the Rameshwaram Temple, which is famed for its collection of lingas. It is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiv. Some of these lingas are built of sand, salt, stone, marble and various other material. Kothandaramaswamy Temple is another one of the most popular Rameshwaram tourist attractions. This temple is located on the beach, and houses idols of Sita, Ram, Lakshman and Hanuman. The Agniteertham sacred bath is also a place where one can spend some time. This is a sacred bath spot for pilgrims from all over the world, and is the only place of its kind that is located outside a temple complex.

The Ariyaman Beach is considered the best beach in Rameshwaram, and it is actually the best place to spend some time at with friends and family in the evening after a hectic sightseeing tour. It is a 150 m wide beach, which stretches on for at least 2 kms. There is also a museum, an aquarium and a children’s park here as well, offering plenty of entertainment options to visitors. The Dhanuskodi beach is another one of the immensely popular Rameshwaram local sightseeing places that one can spend time at.

Other options for Rameshwaram local sightseeing include the Ram Setu, or Adam’s Bridge, as it is also known. It is a historic bridge that has been constructed out of limestone shoals. It is said to be the mythological bridge that Lord Ram constructed for gaining entry into Lanka, the den of Ravan. The Water Bird Sanctuary also warrants a visit when here, since it is a great place to enjoy solitude and watch local and migratory birds.

There are also a few options for sightseeing near Rameshwaram, such as Ramanathapuram. It is an ancient town, with a once opulent palace being the best place for an exploration. Another important tourist place near Rameshwaram temple includes Erwadi, another pilgrimage spot. This one houses the 800 year old tomb of Saint Sultan Ibrahim Syed Aulia. • Trip to Rameshwaram

I have visited two times earlier with travel triangle, and my experience was excellent and we enjoyed our tour. Now come to my latest visit to Tamilnadu with Miles 2 Fly and I am very much disappointed. Start with Rameshwaram , we reached railway station but pick up was not available at station, driver said that your train arrived before time so I'm not at station. Any how we managed to reach at hotel , hotel Rameshwaram Grande is nice hotel. Next day morning Miles 2 Fly called us frequently until balance payment made. Now come to Kanyakumari, the hotel provided is a average hotel. Two rooms given to me, after check in we found that AC is not working, informed to reception but AC could not repaired. I personally went to reception and requested for room change, but they denied to change. I called to Miles 2 Fly they said, wait for sometime we are talking to hotel. But no phone call came to hotel, after long argument when we are going to check out at mid night, they changed our room. Now lastly come to Madurai they provided us worst hotel, before check in I called to Miles 2 Fly and told about hotel condition and sent photos to them. They said we are talking to our sales team and finally they avoided my phone calls, till 2-3 hrs we were at reception of hotel. After that we called Ms Jyoti of travel trangle and told her about hotel, she clearly told that we can not interfere into the matter, it is customer duty to check the hotel before finalization of deal. Finally we spent one horrible night at this hotel. Hotel name is M3 boutique. One more thing is to speak, Ms Jyoti promised us for Rs 500/- discount on deal, but till now no refund is received. So overall I can say Miles 2 Fly is not a good agent and they can not assist you during the tour, their hotels category is also very cheap, so before you book with this agent, think twice. Similarly during your tour if you want any assistance from the Travel Triangle they can not help you any way.

    • Trip to Rameshwaram

since this trip has ended i m better at summarising the experience -: Negatives 1-at times travel triangle team response was very carefree, they did not look into complaints carefully and did not check for errors before posting the asked documents. 2-customize my trip(CMT) though promised complimentary breakfast in all three hotels ,but the very first oyo homestay hotel denied breakfast and gave it only when told that it had been promised in hotel voucher.this was brought into notice of designated CMT agent next day but still the next two hotels in beginning denied provision of breakfast and only provided when they were repeatedly told and shown hotel vouchers.instead of complimentary breakfast it felt like begging.Even when informed after day 1st the repetition of this suggests that that CMT team had no interest in instructing the hotel about complimentary breakfast. 2-none of the hotels had proper cutlery and utensils for serving of complimentary breakfast, it was as if they were forced to provide breakfast. 3-whatever the star status category CMT team might think they provided us but even a small hotel provides proper bedsheets ans towels .the hotel in rameshwaram was pathetic it had dirty sheets which were changed when told and dirty towels Positives 1-driver for trip nizam was good and was the only good thing in this travel experience 2-CMT advisor was prompt enough to tailor the invoice as per need all in all not what i expected

    • Trip to Rameshwaram

Intimate4holidays travel agency made good arrangements for hotels but had worse experience with drivers, they were unprofessional, cunning, rude and not aware of sight seeing locations. Our first driver Visnu intentionally left many sight seeing places and when we asked for one water falls he lied there will be no water there and he cannot cover as they are 60km away. Second driver Shyam had no idea abt sight seeing locations and spent lots of time in search even after GPS and asking people. He was always on phone calls while driving which was risky and due to this was driving very slowly between 60 to 70km. We asked him to speed up but he gave stupid excuse that there are hidden cameras behind trees between Kerela and Tamil Nadu and he cannot go beyond that speed. It was stupid as all vehicles were overtaking us and took lots of time to reach Rameshwaram. After reaching there due to his ignorance abt places it took more time in searching, we reached very late in the evening and could not cover the entire temple as had to leave early next morning. Other than this he was unhelpful and rude, never helped us or hotel guys during whole trip while boarding and deboarding luggages. During whole trip was on phone calls even during eating, but spoke to us two three lines only. I don't think he also had trip plan, as whenever we asked for a place he started thinking. Due to this unprofessional and unpleasant behavior our trip wasted. I am happy that agency made good arrangements for hotels but their sync and communication with drivers was poor, thy did not even ask us for a feedback even after trip completed. Trip was hectic and tiring. Our drivers attitude even made it worse.

    • Trip to Kerala

We have mixed experience as far as hotels are concerned. Hotel Pine Tree staff behavior was excellent, they even provided extra bed without any additional cost, food and tea were also of very good quality but their beds were too soft and spongy to be comfortable. Hotel Season Thekkady at Thekkady was comfortable but their food (breakfast) was not good. Houseboat at Alleppy was nice, however there was some cleanliness issue. Children enjoyed the stay at Houseboat. Location of Hotel God's Own Villa at Kovalam was good, however earlier informed hotel was better located. Hotel was good at Kovlam but their food was of substandard quality. Hotel Sea View at Kanyakumari was very good. It's location was perfect. The best hotel in the whole trip we got was at Rameshwaram. Star Palace hotel was perfect and their staff behavior was excellent. They also tried and provided us two suits and one double bed room instead of three double bedrooms without asking for any additional charges. Location of Hotel Lotus at Madurai was also great. Breakfast was also of very good quality though they have no restaurant of their own and arrange it in collaboration of a restaurant situated just in front. As far as vehicle is concerned, it was comfortable but it was not in accordance of what was quoted in the quotation prior and after booking. In place of 9 seater AC Luxry Tempo Traveller we were provided with a 12 seater AC Tempo traveller. Vehicle was also not in best of the condition. But the drniver Mr. Vijay Krishna was excellent. He was very polite, honest, soft spoken, reliable and possess excellent driving capability. We shall always remember him.

      1. Hotels in Kodaikanal n Rameshwaram were excellent. But hotel Sangam in Kanyakumari was very bad. No lift, unkempt n rude staff, lack of amenities and unhelpful attitude. More like a Dharamshala with bad staff. 2. Vehicle was good. But perhaps to keep luggage, all seats but 11 ( equal to no of passengers) were removed. Luggage keeping was comfortable but one passenger had to sit on seat near driver. This seat was a little uncomfortable and secondly if we took a local guide, there was no place for him. But otherwise fine. Le Poshe resort. Visit to Mannavanur lake. Visit to Vatakottai Fort. Visit to Poovar Island. Temple visits c

This trip was amazing. It was only Rameshwaram's hotel which ruined the perfect trip. Neither their location nor their breakfast food was good. otherwise this was an amazing trip and yes, if this trip became super fantastic then this was just because of the cab driver (Ullas). He really made this trip memorable. I felt like I was with my elder brother on this trip:). Special thanks to him and also, to yogita as well.... who helped us prearranging this trip.
