For a long weekend getaway, travelling to Rameshwaram from Mumbai is a great idea as it has various temples and beaches. Rameshwaram is a pilgrimage site and is the longest corridor among all Hindu temples in India. The Rameshwaram Temple is the honour of Rameshwaram and attracts devotees from all over the country. Although there are no airports in Rameshwaram, one needs to fly from Mumbai airport to the nearest airport in Madurai. The holy city has well-connected routes that can be covered by road and railways. There are also buses available going to Rameshwaram from Mumbai as well as other major cities.

By Air

While there are no airports in Rameshwaram, one can travel to Rameshwaram from Mumbai by boarding a flight to the nearest airport, which is Madurai Airport in Tamil Nadu. Direct flights from different locations throughout the country and worldwide are interlinked with this airport. It is the closest airport, which is approximately 179 km away from Rameshwaram, and is suitable for both domestic and international travellers. From there it takes around three hours to reach by road. You can either book a cab or take any public transport from the airport, which will easily take you to Rameshwaram.

By Train

Rameshwaram is a significant part of Tamil Nadu and has a well-connected railway network to all the major cities in India. You can catch a train from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) or Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) to Madurai railway station. And then catch another train to Rameshwaram. The closest railway station to Rameshwaram is Rameshwaram Railway Terminus (RMM), which is on the Southern Railway Zone. Regular trains from different major cities in India run here daily to RMM. There is easy access to any part of the city by private or public transport from the train station. This mode of transportation is the cheapest to travel.

By Road

The distance between Mumbai and Rameshwaram by road is approximately 1542 km and takes 27-30 hours. You can enjoy the scenic views of the Western Ghats and East Coast Road. The holy city, Rameswaram, has well-connected routes and excellent public transportation services. Apart from hired taxis and personal vehicles, booking a bus from Mumbai to Rameshwaram is an affordable option. It is recommended to take a sleeper or semi-sleeper bus for a comfortable journey.

CAB and Driver is good, driver has planned the places well and covered as per Itinerary. On the way, he has also explained about the places while driving in Mysore and Ooty. Hotel Delightz Inn is ok only (Don't go for it if you're more than 2 Adults). Room is very tight with no chair to sit and p

lace the luggage, free breakfast is not that level as not much options when compared to others. Roopa elite is recommended hotel, breakfast is superb. After seeing the places and travel, hotels, trip seems bit costly. Time constraint to visit Ooty places Overall, felt that package is bit costly but went smooth from start to end

Most importantly Dream yatra do not pick call, they insist us to send whatsapp message only.I also raised all these concerns to traveltriangle in email but there is no response. I am giving rating as 10 since feedback is not getting submitted when i gave rating as 1. No good experience, it was a NIGHTMARE.

A big part of our enjoyable experience was thanks to our trip driver, Sunil, who was extremely professional throughout the journey. He ensured we covered all the places listed in the itinerary and even shared interesting insights about the destinations. His dedication and pleasant demeanor added great value to our trip. The resort we stayed at was another highlight of our vacation. Nestled amidst the serene woods, it offered stunning views that made for a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The food served at the resort was equally delightful, offering a wide range of flavors that satisfied our palate. However, while the trip itself was fantastic, I want to share some feedback regarding the booking experience. Our travel agent, Kishan from Bookitforgetit, was very proactive and responsive before we booked the trip. Unfortunately, after the booking was finalized, I found myself repeatedly following up for crucial details such as the hotel voucher, payment confirmations, and driver information. This lack of consistent communication and post-booking support was a bit disappointing. My humble request to Travel Triangle is to ensure that better customer service is provided after the booking process is complete. It’s crucial to maintain the same level of attentiveness throughout the entire experience. While the trip itself was great, the post-booking service left room for improvement. I hope this feedback helps improve future experiences for travelers like us.
