By Air: Although there is no airport at Rameshwaram, one can take a flight to Madurai, which is the closest airport. Madurai Airport is almost 170 kms away from the city center of Rameshwaram, and this distance can be covered via road transfers or trains, although local buses are most preferred. Hence, traveling from Mumbai to Rameshwaram by air is not a plausible journey plan.

 

By Road: When traveling from Mumbai to Rameshwaram by road, the best options are local buses. There are very few direct local buses for taking people from Mumbai to Rameshwaram, and one might have to change buses a couple of times. For those looking to drive themselves, there is almost two whole days of driving to look forward to, if not more.

By Train: There isn’t any direct Mumbai to Rameshwaram train, but one can travel to Chennai or Madurai, and continue their onward journey from there. Traveling from Mumbai to Rameshwaram via train is the best option for sure. Not only is this option cheaper and more comfortable, it is also one of the easiest modes of transport to book.

Hello, it was a last moment travel request I had raised over Travel Triangle but the most prompt reply was from Anshu of All India Holidays, it was not just prompt but sensible package with assistance on flight booking. Anshu was also always available over call for help. Also, would special mention for Cab Services from Narayan Raju and Cab Driver Deepak. The cab driver is very well versed in driving besides he assisted without expectation for ticket bookings, sight seeing, hill road driving. My trip was Bengaluru-Coorg-Ooty-Mysuru-Bengaluru Flight Assistance: Pune-Bengaluru-Pune Family trip 1) Mysuru to Ooty road trip via Bandipur 2) Driver’s assistance in getting tickets for Dubera Elephant Park during peak rush, and I wanted to visit the place for Kids 3) One minus point in hotel is for Hotel at Ooty, else all fine

Madurai Hotel was not good. Also can driver was good in driving but was unable to speak/understand in Hindi or English. Travel triangle is keeping the high amount of margin here which can be reduced. Also the price I paid was very high if i compare the hotel quality and find the cost breakdown.
