Thimphu has no traffic light, this great city has white-gloved traffic officers. The complexity of Thimphu’s traffic system has led to the use of the aforementioned officers. This was evident when there was a public outcry to install some lights, but these lights were removed.

History had it that Bhutan lifted its ban on the use of the internet. In other words, this is a breakthrough.

The highest peak in Bhutan is Central Gangkhar Puensum.

Alhad's 6 days trip to Bhutan

Bhutan trip was amazing we loved Bhutnese culture and people. Hike to Tiger Nest was our Best Memory of the trip! It takes between four and five hours to do the round trip hike, plus one more hour to tour the monastery. Many people also have lunch in the cafeteria not far from the monastery. Plan on leaving Paro around 8 am and arriving back at your hotel around 3 pm.

    Best Time to Visit

The best time of the year in Bhutan is the spring season, between March and May. It is the month of blooming flowers and bright colours. The months are best to visit Bhutan if you would like to participate in the famous Paro Tsechu festival.

In the Autumn season, i.e September to November is beautiful with some of the best views of picturesque mountain among all the seasons. It is the time when the willows shed their leaves and skies clear to present the sights of the mountains. It is the perfect time for trekking and adventure.

In Bhutan, the summer monsoon starts from the month of June and lasts till mid september. During this time, Bhutan sees the highest amount of rainfall in the region as well as the highest in the entire year. This season is pleasant and warm to enjoy a visit to temples and monasteries but might not be best for trekking. However, if you want to relax and love to explore the city in rains, then this time of year would be perfect.

The winter months of December, January and February in Bhutan are cool, sunny and pleasant. It is one of the best times to visit Punakha, Thimphu, Haa and other western districts. It is the time of year when the magnificent black-necked cranes come from the Tibetan plateau so wildlife enthusiasts cannot miss this opportunity.

The best time to visit Bhutan if you want to witness the enamoring natural beauty is between the months of March and May, i.e the Spring Season or the Autumn months of September to November. The flowers are blooming and the scenic views of the country during the springtime should not be missed by nature lovers whereas the view Himalayas is the best in October. Due to Bhuta’s rich culture, there will be something to experience across seasons. Therefore, you should know about the seasons of the country before you make your own decision.
