Kashmir Tour Package From Kerala

A snow-covered mountain on Earth, Kashmir is one of the most preferred tourist destinations in the world. Whether you are an Indian traveler or have just arrived in the country, a tour through Kashmir should be on top of your bucket list.
For the best travel experience in India, travel from the South to the North by booking Kashmir tour package from Kerala.

The Kashmir valley extends much beyond the snow-capped peaks, cascading streams, heavenly hills, and towering fir pines. Start exploring on the banks of the river Jhelum, right in the capital of the state, Srinagar. The city is a sight to sore eyes, with its picturesque backdrop being coloured every moment by colourful shikaras that tread the Dal Lake. There is no lack of history either, for the entire city is well-populated with Mughal-age buildings and mosques that reflect the amalgamation of art, culture, and religion. A little distance away from Srinagar lies one of the most celebrated Hindu shrines in India, the Mata Vaishno Devi Temple. The actual temple is nestled deep within the Trikuta Hills, roughly 13 kilometres from Katra. The tracks that lead to the temple are rocky and cut into mountains that offer unrivalled views of the surrounding Kashmir valley.

If you're planning a Kashmir trip from Kerala, get ready to experience a mesmerising journey that transports you from the lush green landscapes of Kerala to the enchanting beauty of Kashmir's snow-covered peaks and serene valleys.

For those of you looking for a skiing or ice skating getaway, Gulmarg is perfect. The place is home to towering evergreens and deep ravines. A thick layer of snow covers the region and is often a source of quirky snowmen. Another Hindu shrine in Kashmir is the mighty Amarnath cave, where a natural ice shivling structure forms every year. Millions of devotees frequent the place on an organised tour called the “Amarnath Yatra." With the alluring Himalayas as its home, Pahalgam is an untouched tourist getaway meant to soothe your senses and offer you the best experience of the Kashmir valley.

Ideal Duration

Kashmir has pleasant weather all year round, mainly because of its high altitude. Whether you visit during summer, winter or monsoon, you will find a lot of activities to enjoy.

Best Time to Visit Kashmir

When planning a Kashmir trip from Kerala, it's essential to consider the best time to visit this picturesque region, as Kashmir's beauty transforms with each season. Here's an overview of when to experience the magic of Kashmir at its finest:

Summer In Kashmir

Summer months of May to August are hectic for Kashmir from a tourist's perspective. The entire valley is covered in a sunny glow as red waves color the mountains and the vast meadows. Summers are not scorching hot in Kashmir, thanks to its proximity to the Himalayas. During summers, you can enjoy hiking through tree-covered trails in Pahalgam or go for a shikara boating trip in Srinagar’s beautiful Dal Lake. The average temperature in several cities of Kashmir during the day is 20 to 30 degrees and at night is 15-20 degrees.

Monsoon In Kashmir

Monsoon is not very noticeable in most parts of Kashmir. From July to September, some low lying cities experience ultra-light rainfall or humidity. The temperature during the day drops to 17-20 degrees on days when the humidity is high.

Winters In Kashmir

As known to everyone, winter sports and adventures are what Kashmir boasts of. The entire state is frigid, experiencing frequent blizzards and snowstorms. Most hotels in smaller cities remain closed in winter. The larger hotels are heated with warmers or Bukhari. Some houseboats also host tourists who reach Kashmir in winter to experience sports such as Skiing and ice skating. The temperature from November to April may often drop as low as -8 degrees. If you are fond of cold weather, a winter trip to Kashmir using a Kashmir tour package from Kerala might be perfect for you.

How to Reach Kashmir?

The entire Kashmir valley is connected well to Jammu and all other neighboring states of India via air, road and rail routes. When you travel from Kerala to Kashmir using a Kashmir tour package from Kerala, you can use the following ways to go. The best way to explore the remaining cities of the state is always to make Srinagar your starting point.

  • By Air

Kochi, Tiruvanatanthpuram, and Kannur are three first Keralite cities that host daily or weekly flights to Srinagar. While there are a few direct occasional flights between the two states, an adequate way to travel by air to catch a flight from a Keralite city to Delhi, and then board a plane flying to Srinagar. If you insist on going on a direct trip, take one from Ernakulam to Srinagar.
  • By Train

India is known to have one of the most well connected and efficiently managed railway routes in the world. There is no reason you cannot consider traveling between Kerala and Kashmir using a train. You will easily find either direct or connecting trains to Kashmir from Kerala from cities like Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur, and Kochi. If you want a direct train, catch the Himsagar express that travels from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
  • By Road

A Kerala to Kashmir road trip would be a considerably long journey however, the scenic beauty of the route makes sure it is worth it. You will have to stop at various locations since the trip can be days long. Travel to Kashmir using National highways from the neighboring states of Delhi, Punjab, and Harayana. To reach these states, you can take a national road from Kerala.

Travel experience was very nice and vegetarian food served in hotel met the expectation for Kashmir. But houseboat food quality was average and no seperate veg counter was available as requested. Dhoodhpathri ATV ride was fabulous experience and should thank Driver Yasir bhai for suggesting this location when we missed the Gondola ride ticket. Snowfall also we could experience in Dhoodhpathri.

My Experience with Ozzo Kashmir Holidays – A Well-Planned Trip I recently booked a Kashmir tour package with Ozzo Kashmir Holidays, and overall, my experience was quite good. The itinerary was well-planned, covering all the major attractions like Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Pahalgam, and Doodhpathri. From scenic landscapes to comfortable travel arrangements, everything was managed smoothly. Travel & Sightseeing Experience The sightseeing experience was fantastic. Each destination had its own charm—whether it was the breathtaking Dal Lake, the snow-covered Thajiwas Glacier, or the lush green meadows of Doodhpathri. I especially enjoyed the Shikara ride on Dal Lake, the Betaab Valley, and the Gondola ride in Gulmarg. The trip was planned in a way that allowed me to explore the beauty of Kashmir without feeling rushed. Transport & Driver Experience The driver assigned to us was very professional and well-mannered. His nature was friendly, and he guided us well throughout the journey. He made sure that our travel between different locations was comfortable and hassle-free. Hotel Reviews The hotels booked by Ozzo Kashmir Holidays were a mix of good and average experiences. Here’s my detailed review: Hotel Azara, Srinagar (2-star) – The service was average, and cleanliness was not up to the mark. (Rating: 2/10) Sea View, Srinagar – Service was good, and the stay was comfortable. (Rating: 8/10) Petals of Chinar, Srinagar – The worst hotel in the entire trip. No hot water for a bath, and the staff was not cooperative. (Rating: 1/10) Signature, Gulmarg – Service was excellent, and the stay was pleasant. (Rating: 8/10) Diamondstar, Pahalgam – A good experience, though there was room for improvement. (Rating: 7/10) Divineoak, Katra (2-star) – Service was just okay, nothing special. (Rating: 3/10) Overall Experience & Recommendation Apart from a couple of hotel experiences, the trip was well-organized, and I would recommend Ozzo Kashmir Holidays for their efficient planning and execution. The sightseeing was great, the transport was smooth, and the driver was cooperative. If they improve their hotel selection, the experience can be even better. Rating for the trip: 8/10 Would I recommend Ozzo Kashmir Holidays? Yes!

Review - Kashmir trip with Guided trips Thank you for arranging our recent trip to Kashmir. Overall, the experience was okay, enhanced significantly by the beauty of the region itself. However, I wanted to provide some constructive feedback regarding the services provided. We found our assigned driver was not fully aware of our planned itinerary and required frequent reminders. His enthusiasm for showing us the sights seemed limited, leading us to believe he might not have been experienced in guided tours. We were also surprised to learn that our booking had been passed on to another agency. While the driver was punctual and the car was in good condition, we feel the level of coordination could have been significantly improved. As first-time visitors, we anticipated more proactive communication and guidance, perhaps a short daily check-in, to ensure everything was running smoothly. We also encountered an issue with another driver in Pehelgam, who seemed eager to cut our visit short. On the positive side, we greatly appreciate the 14-month credit you extended due to the original trip cancellation last year. The hotel you suggested was excellent, and the timely pick-up and drop-off arrangements were satisfactory. We hope this feedback is helpful. While the travel agency services were somewhat overshadowed by Kashmir's natural beauty, we still enjoyed our trip and are considering returning in another season. Thank you for your arrangements and looking forward to our next adventure.!!!! Time with snowy mountains.

A Perfectly Planned Kashmir Trip with Exceptional Service! We recently traveled from Indore to Kashmir with our family and booked our tour package through Paradise Port Tour and Travels. It was truly a wonderful experience! Right from the start, the team was extremely professional and helpful. The lady who handled our booking was always in touch before and during the trip, ensuring everything was well-arranged. She even took care of booking all the rides in Kashmir and kept us informed about every place we visited. A special gesture that touched our hearts was when she surprised us with a birthday cake for our son during the trip—such a thoughtful act! A big shoutout to Iqbal Bhai, our cab driver, who made our journey even more special. He was always on time, drove safely, and guided us through all the must-visit places in Kashmir. His warm and kind nature made us feel comfortable throughout the trip. Thanks to Paradise Port Tour and Travels for making our Kashmir trip so memorable! Highly recommended for anyone planning a hassle-free Kashmir vacation.
