Lake Tekapo Holiday Packages

Lake Tekapo

The town, Lake Tekapo (the name is similar to the lake) is on the southern tip of the lake, and has some of the most splendid and sweeping views imaginable. The lake is present in Mackenzie District on the southern island of New Zealand.
A turquoise lake amid the snow-clad mountains, Lake Tekapo sparkles beneath the blue sky. It is often a magical experience to see a line-up of mountains reflecting on its waters. Its rock floor is a specialty as the glaciers roll down grinding the rock particles and depositing them on the lake’s floor.

The splendid view of the lake and skiing opportunities on the mountains is worth the visit if you book Lake Tekapo packages. Therefore, often tourists who are traveling from Christchurch to Mount Cook make it a base station on the route.

How To Reach

By Road

Several bus services that travel to Tekapo are available from Christchurch Airport, Queenstown or Wanaka and Christchurch. It is a three hours journey from Christchurch airport to Lake Tekapo. The distance for a road trip is 1200 km.

By Air

The nearest airport to reach Lake Tekapo is Christchurch airport. If you are traveling from the cities of Australia or other countries, you can fly to Christchurch airport.

By Train

You can also take a train if you are traveling from Rangiora to reach Lake Tekapo. However, there are obvious disadvantages as the trains run once every day on this route and the time duration is longer than by road, that is a little more than 4 hours.

Best Time To Visit

Lake Tekapo during winter months (mid-November to late December)

You can visit Lake Tekapo in the winter months when the icy-blue water projects a strikingly different image compared to the snow-capped mountains. It is when the nearby ski fields remain busy and you can be a part of thrilling adventures down the snowy terrain.

The place as a part of Lake Tekapo packages offers many snow activities and you can have good fun out there. However, in case you are there for a relaxing trip, viewing the perfect natural and scenic beauty can keep you occupied as well.

Lake Tekapo during summers

If you have to consider the aesthetics of the place, then summers are no less. The summers enliven the lake, as the wildflowers add to the beauty. You can have a swim in the pristine lake. These aspects make it a perfect visit even for the summer holidays.

Tekapo has many summer activities for its visitors, so you can also look out for a trip during the summer holidays.

Vishal's 5 days trip to Rajasthan

We recently chose services for first time from back to holidays for our trip to Rajasthan, and while there were some positive aspects, unfortunately, our overall experience was not as smooth as we had hoped. Issues with Driver and Vehicle The driver and vehicle provided were from Uttar Pradesh, not Rajasthan. As a result, the driver had no local knowledge, which caused significant delays and confusion. For instance, upon our arrival at Udaipur airport, it took 30-40 minutes for the driver to locate us, despite being at the airport gate. We were with six children and had to direct him over the phone repeatedly. Throughout the trip, the lack of local knowledge meant we had to rely on Google Maps to reach destinations. This consumed extra time and added unnecessary stress. Inaccuracies in Itinerary The itinerary mentioned an elephant ride near the Birla Temple, which was not there it was near amber fort and due to this details we missed that. This was a major disappointment, especially for the children who were looking forward to it. Sightseeing in Udaipur was poorly planned. For example: Jagdish Temple, listed for Day 2, should have been included on Day 1 as it is adjacent to Jagmandir Palace. Due to this misalignment, we had to waste time traveling across the city on Day 2, which resulted in skipping Fateh Sagar Lake and the Aquarium. Hotel Experiences Devi Palace, Udaipur: This hotel was excellent. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, providing detailed guidance for local sightseeing. The breakfast and meals were also outstanding. The Lighthouse, Jaipur: Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet expectations. The staff was rude, unresponsive to feedback, and the breakfast quality was subpar. We decided against having any meals here. What ever ratings we have given to the hotels are only to devi palace we consider poor rating to the light house. We enjoyed, our stay at Devi Palace, the overall experience was spoiled by the lack of local expertise, misinformation in the itinerary, and disappointing accommodations in Jaipur. We hope you consider this feedback to improve your services for future travelers.

Jayaprasad's 5 days trip to Sikkim - Gangtok - Darjeeling

Excellent Part: I wasn't aware of Travel Triangle before, but I discovered them while searching for Sikkim tour packages online. After making an inquiry, I received calls from Bina Travels and another company. Unlike the other company, Bina Travels consistently followed up to provide all the information and suggestions needed to enhance our trip. The communication with them was very pleasant. During our trip, we requested some modifications, and Bina Travels accommodated them without any complaints. From planning the tour to ensuring everything went smoothly during the trip, they stayed in touch to make sure we were having a great experience. Their service was exceptional. Special thanks to Bina madam and Manisha madam. The hotel booked for us at Gangtok and Lachung were expceptional. It was so nice, no points found for "need improvement" On the last day, our taxi driver canceled at the last moment, which was a really bad experience. However, Bina Travels quickly arranged a substitute within a few minutes, ensuring we reached the airport on time. "Not so good" part: Our airport pickup on the first day was delayed, and we had to wait for 2 hours at the airport. The car that eventually arrived was a Siliguri-Gangtok shuttle service vehicle in poor condition, with dust everywhere, including on the seats. On the third day, there was a delay with the Nathula Pass permit, which was sent to our driver by another taxi. The morning taxi arrived 45 minutes late, and we had to wait an additional hour for the permit on the roadside. Bina Travels could have provided the permit early in the day, saving us an hour that we could have spent exploring another place or enjoying more time at Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir. The hotel in Darjeeling was located at the dead end of a hilly road, making it difficult to access (this may be due to last minute addition in the itinerary to add 1 day Darjeeling trip). The one-way road caused us to wait in traffic for an hour. The hotel didn't have an elevator, and our rooms were on the 4th floor. The hotel itself was disappointing, with no power in the room for the entire night. The generator was switched off after some time, and the response from the hotel staff was unsatisfactory. Bina Travels should coordinate with more reliable taxi drivers and hotel partners.

Vipul's 4 days trip to Sikkim - Gangtok - Darjeeling

Our family trip from December 24th to 31st was a wonderful experience overall, with plenty of scenic beauty and memorable moments. Here's a summary of our trip: Gangtok Stay (Hotel Bella Casa): We stayed at Hotel Bella Casa in Gangtok, but unfortunately, the hotel did not meet our expectations. The facilities and service could have been much better, which was a letdown. Darjeeling Stay (Jagjeet Yuma): Our stay at Jagjeet Yuma in Darjeeling was delightful. The hotel provided a comfortable and cozy environment, with excellent service that enhanced our experience. Transportation and Drivers: The drivers throughout our journey were professional, and punctual. They navigated the challenging mountain roads skillfully and ensured a safe and smooth journey for our family. Sightseeing Highlights: In Gangtok, we visited beautiful spots like Nathual pass (China Border) , Namchi and Changu Lake. The transfer to Darjeeling included scenic stops and sightseeing. In Darjeeling, we loved exploring Tiger Hill, Ghoom Monastery, Mirik Lake, Pashupati Temple Nepal. Overall Experience: Despite some issues with the Gangtok accommodation, the trip as a whole was an amazing family experience. The stunning views, serene landscapes, and time spent together made it a journey we’ll always cherish.

Dinesh's 5 days trip to Odisha

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Odisha, and it was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the amazing sights, rich culture, and excellent services. Here’s a breakdown of my experience with the key attractions, accommodations, and cab service: ### 1. **Hotels:** The hotels I stayed at during my tour were well-selected and comfortable. In **Puri**, The room was clean, well-maintained, and the staff was polite and attentive., I stayed in a centrally located hotel that was perfect for exploring the temples and other local attractions. One of my favourite hotel stay at Taptapani hill Resort. The amenities were top-notch, and the rooms were spacious, ensuring a restful stay after a day of sightseeing. ### 2. **Cab Service:** The cab service throughout my trip was excellent. “Basudeb” was punctual, professional, and well-versed with the routes to all the tourist spots. The Toyota Rumion was comfortable and air-conditioned, making long rides enjoyable. “Basudeb” also provided valuable insights into the culture and history of the places we visited, which added a personal touch to the journey. ### 3. **Key Places Visited:** - **Jagannath Puri Temple:** The highlight of my trip, the **Jagannath Temple** in Puri is an architectural marvel. The atmosphere is electric, filled with devotion and grandeur. The rituals and cultural significance of the temple left me in awe. - **Konark Sun Temple:** The **Konark Sun Temple** is another must-visit. The intricate carvings, coupled with its historical significance, make it one of the most impressive temples I’ve visited in India. The sheer scale and beauty of the temple left me speechless. - **Chilika Lake:** A boat ride on **Chilika Lake** was an absolute highlight. The serene waters, surrounded by lush greenery, made for a peaceful and scenic experience. We also spotted some river dolphins, which added a touch of nature's beauty to the trip. - **Lingaraj Temple:** The **Lingaraj Temple** in Bhubaneswar is a classic example of Kalinga architecture. The temple's massive size and ornate carvings were breathtaking. It’s one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the spiritual atmosphere is palpable. - **Mukteshwar Temple:** This small yet beautiful temple is a hidden gem in Bhubaneswar. The carvings and the serene environment around the temple make it a peaceful spot to visit. - **64 Yogini Temple:** In Bhubaneswar, I visited another famous 64 Yogini Temple in the Hirapur area. this one is relatively well-preserved and gives a better sense of the temple's original layout and purpose. It has 64 small stone cells, each of which was once home to a deity representing one of the Yoginis. The temple is small and simple in comparison to the grand temples of Odisha, but there’s a deep spiritual energy here. I spent time observing the intricately carved stone sculptures, which depict various deities and symbolic motifs. The temple was quiet, which allowed for a reflective visit. - **Taptapani:** The hot water springs in **Taptapani** offered a unique experience. I soaked in the warm waters, which were incredibly relaxing, especially after a long day of sightseeing. - **Tibetan Village:** The **Tibetan Village** was a lovely stop. The peaceful vibe, combined with Tibetan culture, monasteries, and handicrafts, was a delightful experience. I learned a lot about Tibetan traditions and had the chance to purchase beautiful souvenirs. ### 4. **Overall Experience:** The entire trip was well-organized, with seamless transitions from one place to the next. The combination of cultural exploration, relaxation at Chilika Lake, spiritual immersion at the temples, and the scenic beauty of places like Taptapani made this tour an enriching experience. The cab service ensured that my journey was comfortable, and the accommodations were cozy and well-located. Overall, this tour to Odisha was a fantastic mix of spirituality, nature, and culture. Priyanka's 4 days trip to Kashmir

Overall experience was good. At Pehalgam we stayed at The Villagio as the one was chosen by us it was the best hotel. The hotel at Srinagar was Golden Sands which lacked good breakfast, dont forget to carry Shower gel, tooth brush etc. and warm clothes as they only provide a soap and Shampoo pouch and heater only from 7 to 10 and few hours in morning otherwise u have to manage with blankets. The driver Nasir was good in nature, apart from few hicups all was great and accomodating reporting to his boss every small thing .. our Tour guide Ms. Rida was always supportive, guiding us and always atttentive to our cause, even on sunday and one day where she needed to intensively communicate with transporter. We are satisfied with the response time and the services. However she did nt fulfill her promise of complimentary honeymoon package (Just a cake though) may be due to christmas eve. All together a good trip. thanks to travel triangle for the services. Gulmarg Gandola Shikara Ride, Dal Lake Snowful Betaab Valley Aru Valley Shankracharya Temple

Dr's 7 days trip to Kashmir

We were received at the airport by Mr. Amir, who was very proactive and helpful in all aspects. He navigated us throughout the tour without any rush or delay at any place, and made us comfortable throughout our entire tour. Hotel Grand Sahara Hills at Srinagar was cosy and spacious, and we had a good experience. But they need to improve their room service. (4 stars) Hotel Supreme Resort at Pahalgam is not fully ready to receive guests. The hotel  construction is not complete. Basic facilities such as approach road are not yet built, and the generator is not capable of running heater or geyser. The location is also not great. Food served had limited choices, they had only jain food. (2 stars) Hotel Zahgeer at Gulmarg is very good and in a good location. Service and food was also good. (5 stars) On the last day we stayed in Blue Dolphin houseboat in Dal lake. While the houseboat itself is okay, it was too cold to utilise any of its space due to the extremely cold weather. It had a firewood based heater in 2 out of 4 rooms, which was not sufficient to warm any room up to a comfortable temperature. We should have been advised against staying in a houseboat in such a weather condition on the last day of a long trip. The tour co-ordinators were in communication and helped out wherever possible.
