Lake Tekapo Holiday Packages

Lake Tekapo

The town, Lake Tekapo (the name is similar to the lake) is on the southern tip of the lake, and has some of the most splendid and sweeping views imaginable. The lake is present in Mackenzie District on the southern island of New Zealand.
A turquoise lake amid the snow-clad mountains, Lake Tekapo sparkles beneath the blue sky. It is often a magical experience to see a line-up of mountains reflecting on its waters. Its rock floor is a specialty as the glaciers roll down grinding the rock particles and depositing them on the lake’s floor.

The splendid view of the lake and skiing opportunities on the mountains is worth the visit if you book Lake Tekapo packages. Therefore, often tourists who are traveling from Christchurch to Mount Cook make it a base station on the route.

How To Reach

By Road

Several bus services that travel to Tekapo are available from Christchurch Airport, Queenstown or Wanaka and Christchurch. It is a three hours journey from Christchurch airport to Lake Tekapo. The distance for a road trip is 1200 km.

By Air

The nearest airport to reach Lake Tekapo is Christchurch airport. If you are traveling from the cities of Australia or other countries, you can fly to Christchurch airport.

By Train

You can also take a train if you are traveling from Rangiora to reach Lake Tekapo. However, there are obvious disadvantages as the trains run once every day on this route and the time duration is longer than by road, that is a little more than 4 hours.

Best Time To Visit

Lake Tekapo during winter months (mid-November to late December)

You can visit Lake Tekapo in the winter months when the icy-blue water projects a strikingly different image compared to the snow-capped mountains. It is when the nearby ski fields remain busy and you can be a part of thrilling adventures down the snowy terrain.

The place as a part of Lake Tekapo packages offers many snow activities and you can have good fun out there. However, in case you are there for a relaxing trip, viewing the perfect natural and scenic beauty can keep you occupied as well.

Lake Tekapo during summers

If you have to consider the aesthetics of the place, then summers are no less. The summers enliven the lake, as the wildflowers add to the beauty. You can have a swim in the pristine lake. These aspects make it a perfect visit even for the summer holidays.

Tekapo has many summer activities for its visitors, so you can also look out for a trip during the summer holidays.

A Memorable Kashmir Experience We had an amazing trip to Kashmir with Paradise Port, covering Pahalgam, Sonmarg, Gulmarg, a houseboat stay, and a Shikara ride. Everything was well-organized—from comfortable accommodations to seamless transportation. Each destination was breathtaking, and the houseboat stay and Shikara ride on Dal Lake were truly magical. R's 4 days trip to Sikkim - Gangtok - Darjeeling

I recently booked a Gangtok and Darjeeling tour package through Bina Travel, and I must say the experience exceeded my expectations! From the very beginning, their agent, Suman, was incredibly helpful and professional Suman provided detailed information about the itinerary, accommodations, and inclusions in the package. She patiently answered all my queries and customized the trip to fit my preferences. The booking process was seamless, and she kept me updated at every step. In Gangtok, we visited places like Tsomgo Lake and MG Marg, and in Darjeeling, the sunrise at Tiger Hill and a ride on the Toy Train were the highlights. The itinerary was perfectly balanced, giving us enough time to explore and relax. Suman stayed in touch throughout the trip to ensure everything was going smoothly. She was quick to resolve minor hiccups, showing genuine care for our experience. Bina Travel and Suman made this trip memorable and hassle-free. I highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Gangtok and Darjeeling. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and friendly service are truly commendable. Thank you, Suman and Bina Travel, for an unforgettable vacation! In Gangtok, we visited places like Tsomgo Lake and MG Marg, and in Darjeeling, the sunrise at Tiger Hill and a ride on the Toy Train were the highlights. The itinerary was perfectly balanced, giving us enough time to explore and relax.

Saharshjain's 8 days trip to Europe

"A thousand thanks to wiseyatra first for making our trip so memorable. Still everyday I miss Paris and switzerland. We found WiseYatra via travel triangle and were in initial discussion about Paris and switzerland trip with them. We took passport and land package from them. I must say they are very professional and quite cheap when compared to other tours companies. Discussions: We had very long calls and frequesnt changes in plan regarding days and which cities or places to visit, they entertained all of them and made better plan on every change. We called them lot of times for testimonials and changes and they were happy to do it. They didnt force us for anything infact suggested better places than what we had in mind . Itinerary: simply the most detailed itinerary I have ever seen. Pictorial representation , bullet list of monuments. Hour wise itinerrary to make you aware of time because you will get lost in beauty. It was a long itinerarry with alternate mode of transports for every connection where possible. Properly given timetables of the trains and next trains that are availabel from your route. They also include scenic/panoramic trains and trust me those were really mazing. That itinerary is solid for few years of travel easily. Their itinerary is so flexible that we could sip or add few things or shuffle and still cover almost all the things. Hotels: We absolutely loved their hotel choices, very close to nature and close to transport places. In all 6-7 cities we had to walk hardly 100 meters for our hotels. In grindelwald we had to 5 steps for railway station. Not sure how they do it but they find the best and closest hotels with amazing view. In lucerne the hotel owner also gave us chocolates. Some of them had bath tub as well and amazin view of street and lakes. Trust me you will love them, close to market, close to transport system and inclusive of breakfast. In paris hotel we got free hot chocolate and sparkling water. Tickets: I must say all tickets we got were flexible and we had to shift paris boat ride to next day due to leg pain from walking. But all tickets were very good and do not forget to take a printout of each ticket. Mt.Titlis or Jugfrau all were flexible so incase weather is not good then also we can go next day. similarly the Swiss Pass was amazing as it gave us free pass to ride anything at any time which helped us in making good decision if something wasn't available or we had some time to kill. Support: WY was available for support at all times, they helped us with us for small queries as well like cash, card, disneyland metrsos, trains to Switzerland etc. Overall very supportive. Prices: The prices were quite cheap considering the trip to one of the most expensive countries in world. When compared to the time we spent and fun we had the price was super cheap. Plus since everything is pre-booked we didnt have to spend anything other than metro and food. I would definitely recommend wise yatra over any other travel service because we were free to do anything in the itinerary other travel we connected with offered us group tours for same rate where we were not able to spend time on a monument as per our wish. I would really recommend them. Infact for our next trip also I am going to go with them."

Our recent trip to Vietnam was an incredible experience, meticulously organised by Tom from Wonderscape Travel and Kanchan from Travel Triangel. Their attention to detail ensured that all arrangements were top-notch, allowing us to fully enjoy the beauty and culture of this remarkable country. Here’s a review of our journey, which included visits to Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Ba Na Hills, and Ho Chi Minh City. Trip Overview The itinerary was well-structured, providing a perfect balance of cultural immersion, scenic exploration, and relaxation. Each destination offered unique experiences that enriched our understanding of Vietnam. - Hanoi: Our adventure began in the bustling capital city. We explored historical sites such as the Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter, where we enjoyed delicious street food. The guided tours provided fascinating insights into Vietnam's rich history and traditions. - Ha Long Bay: The cruise through Ha Long Bay was undoubtedly one of the trip's highlights. Surrounded by stunning limestone karsts and emerald waters, we engaged in activities such as kayaking and exploring caves. The onboard meals were exceptional, featuring fresh seafood that showcased local flavours. The breathtaking scenery made this UNESCO World Heritage site unforgettable. - Da Nang: In Da Nang, we visited the famous Marble Mountains and enjoyed some leisure time on pristine beaches. The city’s blend of modernity and tradition offered a unique perspective on Vietnam's development. - Ba Na Hills: A visit to Ba Na Hills was a memorable experience. We took a scenic cable car ride to the top, where we marvelled at the Golden Bridge and enjoyed panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The French Village added a charming European touch to our adventure. - Ho Chi Minh: Our trip concluded in Ho Chi Minh City, where we explored vibrant markets. Dharani's 7 days trip to Kashmir

I recently (23Nov to 29th Nov-24) had the pleasure of visiting Kashmir on a trip organized by Oscar Tours & Travel, and it was truly a memorable experience! From start to finish, everything was seamlessly planned and executed by Irshad. The itinerary was well-balanced, giving us ample time to explore the breathtaking beauty of Kashmir—be it the serene Dal Lake, the majestic mountains of Sonamarg, Gulmarg, or the charming valleys of Pahalgam. Every destination was a masterpiece of nature. Multiple options of accommodations were presented by Oscar travels during the planning stage. The accommodations were top-notch, offering comfort and stunning views, and the local Taxi Driver (Mr. Harris ) more like a friend was very knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help. I highly recommend Oscar Tours & Travel to anyone planning a trip to Kashmir. They made my journey a beautiful and stress-free adventure! Thank you for a lifetime of memories!

Kashmir and Pahalgam offer a journey into a breathtaking paradise, where every view feels like a painting come to life. The serene Dal Lake in Srinagar, with its iconic Shikara rides, sets the tone for tranquility and romance. Pahalgam, nestled amidst lush green meadows and surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks, offers an escape into nature's lap. Whether trekking through Aru Valley, enjoying pony rides in Betaab Valley, or simply soaking in the crisp mountain air, every moment feels rejuvenating. The warmth of Kashmiri hospitality, combined with the region's natural splendor, makes this trip unforgettable.

Vidhya's 5 days trip to North East

The hotel accommodations were good. All the places we covered - Kaziranga, Dawki, Cherrapunji and Shillong were good! Shillong itenary surely reminds of viewing the 'Scotland of the East'! Spectacular! For trips in the East, it would be good to factor the early sunset, long distances you need to travel and waiting time (places like Kamakya Temple) while planning the itenary. We had to skip lunches for continuous 3 days to ensure itenary is completed. We had to skip Orchid Gardens, Umiyam Lake and Kamakya temple which could have been avoided.

Hi Team, As you this wasn't my 1st trip with you guys. Though booking was hassle free was surprised to after service, moreover your App was so pathetic which I had complained also, inspite of install & uninstall multiple times , I had login and due payment issues. No transparency on cost due to which I eventually paid on higher payment instead of what it was promised to be, refund for the same pending. Had mixed opinion on overall journey 1) Driver Nice and very friendly guy and always promot on his duty, full 5star for him. 2) Hotel - Lake View munnar * Property was good with view point and staffs etc. But drawbacks were , It's 3 Star hotel rather 4 star. I had face Hot water issue for all days, Team used to attend complaint but didn't get resolved . Food for one night was so bad and it lacks with other amenities to be called a 4Star. 3) Boat house It was fantastic, nice crew team, Good food & Hospitality. It didn't had hot water facilities As I was carrying my infant , but overall it was a happy stay. 4) Support from Travel agent / Travel triangle representative Totally below par to my expectations, As eveytime I need to do too many follow ups, Still I didn't get my refund amount on excess money paid. House boat stay and Villa Property of hotel.

Dinesh's 5 days trip to Odisha

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Odisha, and it was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the amazing sights, rich culture, and excellent services. Here’s a breakdown of my experience with the key attractions, accommodations, and cab service: ### 1. **Hotels:** The hotels I stayed at during my tour were well-selected and comfortable. In **Puri**, The room was clean, well-maintained, and the staff was polite and attentive., I stayed in a centrally located hotel that was perfect for exploring the temples and other local attractions. One of my favourite hotel stay at Taptapani hill Resort. The amenities were top-notch, and the rooms were spacious, ensuring a restful stay after a day of sightseeing. ### 2. **Cab Service:** The cab service throughout my trip was excellent. “Basudeb” was punctual, professional, and well-versed with the routes to all the tourist spots. The Toyota Rumion was comfortable and air-conditioned, making long rides enjoyable. “Basudeb” also provided valuable insights into the culture and history of the places we visited, which added a personal touch to the journey. ### 3. **Key Places Visited:** - **Jagannath Puri Temple:** The highlight of my trip, the **Jagannath Temple** in Puri is an architectural marvel. The atmosphere is electric, filled with devotion and grandeur. The rituals and cultural significance of the temple left me in awe. - **Konark Sun Temple:** The **Konark Sun Temple** is another must-visit. The intricate carvings, coupled with its historical significance, make it one of the most impressive temples I’ve visited in India. The sheer scale and beauty of the temple left me speechless. - **Chilika Lake:** A boat ride on **Chilika Lake** was an absolute highlight. The serene waters, surrounded by lush greenery, made for a peaceful and scenic experience. We also spotted some river dolphins, which added a touch of nature's beauty to the trip. - **Lingaraj Temple:** The **Lingaraj Temple** in Bhubaneswar is a classic example of Kalinga architecture. The temple's massive size and ornate carvings were breathtaking. It’s one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the spiritual atmosphere is palpable. - **Mukteshwar Temple:** This small yet beautiful temple is a hidden gem in Bhubaneswar. The carvings and the serene environment around the temple make it a peaceful spot to visit. - **64 Yogini Temple:** In Bhubaneswar, I visited another famous 64 Yogini Temple in the Hirapur area. this one is relatively well-preserved and gives a better sense of the temple's original layout and purpose. It has 64 small stone cells, each of which was once home to a deity representing one of the Yoginis. The temple is small and simple in comparison to the grand temples of Odisha, but there’s a deep spiritual energy here. I spent time observing the intricately carved stone sculptures, which depict various deities and symbolic motifs. The temple was quiet, which allowed for a reflective visit. - **Taptapani:** The hot water springs in **Taptapani** offered a unique experience. I soaked in the warm waters, which were incredibly relaxing, especially after a long day of sightseeing. - **Tibetan Village:** The **Tibetan Village** was a lovely stop. The peaceful vibe, combined with Tibetan culture, monasteries, and handicrafts, was a delightful experience. I learned a lot about Tibetan traditions and had the chance to purchase beautiful souvenirs. ### 4. **Overall Experience:** The entire trip was well-organized, with seamless transitions from one place to the next. The combination of cultural exploration, relaxation at Chilika Lake, spiritual immersion at the temples, and the scenic beauty of places like Taptapani made this tour an enriching experience. The cab service ensured that my journey was comfortable, and the accommodations were cozy and well-located. Overall, this tour to Odisha was a fantastic mix of spirituality, nature, and culture.
