4. Bhaktapur

The pedestrian-friendly town of Bhaktapur and its red-brick durbar square is one of the best Nepal points of interest. Although much of it now is in ruins and rubbles because of the earthquake, the city’s beauty and dignity have not taken a hit.

5. Lumbini

Lumbini is the city both historically and spiritually important, as this is the birthplace of Buddha in 563 BC. The city is home to many archaeological finds dating to that era.
