|Bangalore to Istanbul||10.0 hours||-||-||-|
Carriers like Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways, Gulf Air and Oman Air have flights to Istanbul from Bangalore on a pretty regular basis, which makes up for the fact there are no direct flights from Bangalore to Istanbul. The distance between the two places makes any other form of journey impossible. Although Bangalore and Istanbul is connected by land, the transportation cost is too high and the process is too risky.
Flights are your best bet to travel from Bangalore to Istanbul. Once you land in Ataturk Airport of Istanbul, you can avail metro, airport shuttle or local cabs.
By Air: The best Bangalore to Istanbul flight at present is served by Emirates via Dubai, taking 10 hours 35 minutes approximately. Qatar Airways and Gulf Air are close behind with 10 hours 45-55 minutes duration via Doha and Bahrain respectively. To make things easier, you can also fly to Delhi or Mumbai in any domestic carrier, and then take the direct Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul. However, you will have to book the Turkish Airlines flight much in advance.
By Road: Going from Bangalore to Istanbul via roadway is near to impossible. You can try chart the route from India to Iran via Pakistan and then to Turkey, but the idea itself is neither very practical nor is it safe.
By Rail: In Istanbul itself, the trans-Bosphorus commuter rail and inter-city trains are very popular modes of transport. However, one cannot just take a train from Bangalore to reach Istanbul.

Shruti's 10 days trip to IstanbulThe trip to Turkey was wonderful. There was no confusion or delay with the cab services arranged. Although the visa process for the trip could have been better. We had to postpone our journey dates and reschedule our flights due to the delay in the visa processing. The number of days required for visa processing should be checked and done well within the start date of the trip.
Awadhesh's 6 days trip to IstanbulOverall trip was smooth as all the transitions were on time and I didn't have to follow up about anything during the trip. The only negatives were the hotel in Cappadocia and the long follow up for visa approval.
Bharath's 6 days trip to IstanbulI had initially inquired about Turkey, but since I had planned everything within a week getting visas to Turkey was a challenge. That is when Mr. Dhaksh got in touch with me and gave me all other destination options which have a visa on arrival and coordinated very patiently throughout. Once I decided the destination (Bali) there was very little time like about 2-3 days for the entire team to organize everything and I must admit Mr. Dhaksh and Mr. Atish from D Organisers did a commendable job by coordinating at late nights also and ensured that I had a pleasant vacation at Bali. The driver Mr. Putu Budisa at Bali was a very humble person and would never say no to anything we have requested and always made good suggestions and did not try to oversell anything. Special thanks to the entire team of Travel Triangle and D Organisers.
