Dhanaulti is a picturesque little gem of a town dropped between the valleys and hills of the Himalayas.

Many visitors prefer Dhanaulti over Mussoorie, which it is located next to, for its quaint, less crowded, and just as beautiful scenery. You can find the same adventure activities in Dhanaulti as well, and there are plenty of attractions that are native to Dhanaulti, the likes of which you can’t see anywhere else. The following are the top things to do in Dhanaulti for an unforgettable vacation.

    Trekking In The Hills

Trekking is one of the most exciting and invigorating things to do in Dhanaulti. Ubiquitous greenery, fresh scent of deodar, oak, and pine trees, gorgeous hills and blooming valleys give one a sensory experience unlike any other. A trek up to Kunjapuri, Chandrabadni, or Surkanada Devi peaks is enthralling and quite manageable even for beginners. For the trekking pros, heading up to Lal Tibba and Gun Hill is the best option. Witnessing a sunset over the hills in Dhanaulti can be one of the most healing things ever.

    Valley Crossing and Ziplining

If you visit Dhanaulti and don’t experience valley crossing, it’ll be a failed trip. While it can be a little daunting, crossing a valley harnessed to a rope will be one of the most memorable things to do in Dhanaulti. Imagine swinging 100 - 300 ft in the sky over the valley below, with a bird’s eye view of the lush green woods, grasslands, orchards, and hills of Dhanaulti. This high-adrenaline activity is sure-proof safe. You can try your hand at ziplining and valley crossing at one of the many adventure camps in Dhanaulti and Kanatal.

    Picnic At Eco Park

The twin peaks of Amber and Dhara in Dhanaulti are collectively known as the Eco Park. The park is a relaxing spot for a hangout or a picnic. The green groves in the park rejuvenate and energise visitors. The park has well-manicured gardens and batches of cedar and deodar jungles. Spending time with your family and kids is one of the top things to do in Dhanaulti.

    Boating In Company Garden

Another stunning picnicking spot in Dhanaulti is the Company Garden. Originally developed and maintained under the rule of the East India Company, the garden was named after the British, who settled in the region during the 18th and 19th centuries. This charming place, full of trees, shrubs, and sitting nooks, also features an artificial lake popular for boating and watching sunsets.

    Camping In The Woods

One of the quintessential things to do in Dhanaulti is camping. You could never go wrong at camping; it’s always a hoot and a half. Take your kids on an annual camping retreat, or spend a cosy time with your partner, it’s perfect for everyone. Enjoy stargazing, jungle tours, adventure activities, and have smores by the fire. Many resorts, agencies, and camping companies provide fantastic amenities for camping at unbelievably affordable prices.

    Embarking On A Village Tour

Learn more about the Pahadi culture and way of life on a village tour. There can’t be a better way of immersing oneself in the destination than interacting with the locals. Try local cuisine, observe the indigenous style of architecture, and learn about their value systems and more. A tranquil retreat in the villages near Dhanaulti will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for you.

    Quad Biking and Mountain Biking

For all the adventure junkies out there, nothing could be more thrilling than taking up motorbiking along the winding roads of Dhanaulti. Exploring the region on a mountain bike with a backpack, safety gear, and a map can be one of the best things to do in Dhanaulti. The meandering streets and forest trails help you enjoy the surreal beauty of the region.

The lush green region spreading from horizon to horizon almost overwhelms one’s senses with how heavenly and beautiful it is. Vivek's 10 days trip to Dhanaulti

Everything was good. Just small small issues were there. 1. Even though payment was made in advance but hotel room was given on first come basis, if we reach early then a good room can be taken else you have to manage. 2. In Kedarnath camp, heater facility was not given even when asked for. Lights went off from night and did not came back. 3. In Kedarnath camp, one less sleeping bag was provided. 4. Our car broke on the very first day, making it late foe us to reach hotel. For that day and next day we have to travel in a loader. Everything else was good.

Sounak's 6 days trip to Dhanaulti

The trip was enjoyable overall. Though we encountered some issues with the car and hotel arrangements, Mr. Sanu Kumar efficiently resolved them and ensured comfortable facilities. However, the travel itinerary could have been better planned to reduce long travel distances. Optimizing the route would improve the experience. Grateful for the support provided during the trip. The best memory of the trip was the seamless support and prompt assistance provided by Mr. Sanu Kumar during unexpected challenges. His dedication turned potential setbacks into smooth experiences, allowing us to enjoy the journey without major disruptions. That personal touch and care made the trip truly memorable.

Pawankrhcu's 7 days trip to Dhanaulti

It was great. Overall experience was too good. The trip advisor from Travel triangle Ms. Umra Khan and the agency adventuremania were too cooperative. The services of the hotels were too good but the only issue was at a location camps were too far from the sightseeing locations and overall city and it was a new camp only 2 families were staying there from which one was mine. Anyways overall services from hotels were also too good. Will definetely suggest to book a trip from them as the trip was too memorable.
