About Digha Tourism
Digha, a charming beach town nestled along the beautiful shores of the Bay of Bengal, is a beloved destination that draws visitors for its pristine beaches and picturesque views, particularly favoured by those from West Bengal. This delightful spot is the perfect getaway for families eager to enjoy a refreshing weekend. One of the remarkable aspects of Digha is its wide array of attractions that cater to everyone. The breathtaking landscapes here also provide a rare opportunity to enjoy largely untouched areas, offering a unique and serene experience.
Best Time To Visit Digha
Digha is a delightful weekend getaway for everyone living in West Bengal, especially enchanting during winter. From October to February, it's the perfect time to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Digha. Beyond the sandy shores, you can explore charming aquariums and lush gardens during this cosy season. Plus, winter brings the most exciting Bengal celebration—Durga Puja! While summers in Digha can be pretty hot, with temperatures soaring up to 37 degrees Celsius, they might not be the best time to visit. And in July, the monsoon rains could damper your plans to enjoy both the beaches and amusement parks as the humidity rises and travel becomes less pleasant.
Places To Visit In Digha
Digha features attractions like Amaravati Park, New Digha Sea Beach, and Digha Mohona Watch Point. This small coastal resort town in West Bengal boasts picturesque beaches, including Old Digha Beach. Enjoy sunbathing, swimming, and fresh seafood. In addition, numerous tourist spots like the white-marble Chandaneswar temple offer spiritual awakening, while scenic vistas enhance Digha's charm. Don't miss the Marine Aquarium, Digha Science Centre, and Biswa Bangla Park.
