About Egypt Tourism

Egypt is famous for rich history, culture, and heritage.

The place has seen famous civilizations and houses wonders of the world. The beautiful country lies in the Northeast part of Africa. Egypt has seen an increase in the number of tourists in the recent years. Egypt – the name itself invokes a sense of mysterious antiquity. Over the years, the country has had many regimes at the helm, most prominently the Ottoman and the British Empires. Blessed with magnificent monuments, lush delta, beguiling desert and mighty Nile, this place offers an unmatchable experience as one decides to book a package for Egypt tourism.

Pyramids, although they exist in many other civilizations around the world, are somehow inseparably associated with Egypt. The country has many of these grand tombs of the Pharaohs scattered around the desert area and seeing all of them is quite impossible. But Egypt travel is incomplete without visiting at least some of them. The Pyramid of Giza, the Great Sphinx and the Pyramid of Khufu are the most famous ones. But there are some lesser-known ones as well, which are worth the time and money for the Egypt pyramids tour – Pyramid of Khafre, the Red Pyramid, Step Pyramid of Djoser and the Pyramid of Menkaure.

Together with Mesopotamia, Egypt forms the world’s oldest Cradle of Civilization in the valleys of Nile, Tigris and Euphrates. Unlike many other countries with such dynamic pasts, Egypt has not let go of its roots. The legacy of the great Egyptian Empire is an integral part of the country’s identity and Egypt tourism now.

Mahmya Island, Soma Bay, Sharm-El-Luli and El Gouna are some of the best ones on the Red Sea, while Fjord Bay Beach and Agiba Mediterranean Beach are two other gems with dazzling blue waters.

Here are some of the best cities to visit on your trip to Egypt:

1. Cairo:

When you visit Egypt, the first city that should be on your itinerary is Cairo. It is not only the capital of the country but also one of the most iconic cities of Africa and the Middle East together. The modern city was established in around 969 BCE by the Fatimid Dynasty. The remnants of the old city are still there in parts in Old Cairo, so are the ancient city of Memphis and the Giza Pyramid Complex.

2. Alexandria:

Alexandria, founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC, is a beautiful port city along the Mediterranean in northern Egypt. Alexandria had a Hellenistic period lighthouse, known to be an important Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Dotted with Greco-Roman landmark, old-school cafes and a stretch of sandy beach along the sea, Alexandria is a must-visit on your Egypt tour.

3. Aswan:

Aswan is a lovely tourist city and port market, located very strategically on the Nile. Every river cruise on the Nile passes through Aswan and shows a glimpse of the legendary Aswan Dan and the Columned Temple of Isis. Aswan has always been the commercial gateway to Egypt from down south, and also home to many such ancient architectures and temples.

4. Giza:

Cairo and Giza are often visited together, but they are different cities. Giza is the third-largest in Egypt, located on the west bank of Nile. Giza is home to the renowned Giza Pyramid of King Khufu and the Great Sphinx. After Cairo, it is probably the most visited and photographed city of Egypt.

5. Luxor:

Luxor lies on the eastern side of Nile down south and is located on the site of ancient Thebes. During the height of Pharaoh Regime in the 16th-11th century BCE, Thebes was the capital of their empire. Thus, there were a great many temples, tombs and other buildings on this site, but only two have survived – the Luxor and Karnak Temple.

S's 8 days trip to Egypt

I am extremely happy with the services provided by Travel Triangle. This is my second outing with Travel Triangle. Everything has been seamlessly managed and taken care of. One issue I would like to highlight is for Nile cruise the options based on price range should have been given. Hopefully its looked into.

Vamsidhar's 6 days trip to Egypt

Trip was well organized with no difficulties, 100% satisfied. Cruise was extremely good and food was awesome, cruise crew team behavior is so well. Al places are worth watching The guides were poor not explained well, They were in hurry to finish their jobs, Only edifi temple guide is good, Rest all guides are poor rating, Hiring professional guides will add advantage to the trip. Abu simbel car driver and guide is so good with patience. Guides were stopping in the locations which is not included in the iternary and wasted the time, inorder to buy some arts and crafts products which is of no use, and wasted the time. Overall trip was organized well with no tensions, Egypt trip is worth watching places like Aswan, Luxor, Cairo & Hurgadha is optionalon your choice, We missed alexandria as it is not added in the iternary.

We had a fantastic time in Egypt. Mr. Amaan Siddiqui expertly planned our Egypt trip, while Ms. Shima's Cairo tour and Mr. Mohmud's Alexandria tour brought history to life. Mr. Tahir's outstanding driving services ensured our comfort throughout. Their professionalism, knowledge, and flexibility made our trip truly unforgettable! The Nile cruise dinner was the best memory of all.

S's 7 days trip to Egypt

Entire trip was going well until cruise came in picture…3rd class cruise was booked, they were huge discrimination with INDIAN TOURISTS in cruise but agency didn’t take any action. We missed 3-4 monuments just because of cruise. Looking like it was total waste of time and money. Best memories spoiled by cruise, we don't have memories .

Parvaiz's 6 days trip to Egypt

It was Amazing trip arranged b travel Triangle. I had opted for the premieum package from Flying Fleet Adventures where I connected with Mr Amaan.I later found out that he is a Egypt Specialist and has helped many travellers experience Egypt in the best way possible. Talking about the trip.Egypt is not an easy destination it is nearly impossible to do it alone without any guide otr help as there is a language problem and the people heckle you a lot trying to sell anything and everything at 4 times the cost . Amaan had arranged everything so well. Guides: Each guide in Cairo/Hurgada/Luxar/Aswan/Abu Simbl was very fluent with english and had in depth historical knowledge of the places we were visiting .Also the bonus was they were amazing photographers as well and knew the exact spots for good photos .Thanks to them we got many exiting and memorable photos. Food: Food was totally taken care of ,we loved the Arabian cuisine but there was Indian option available as well. Transportation : The vehicles provided were top notch and were well maintained. The drivers were very friendly and helpfull and totally on time . Stay: The best of the Hotels(Rameses Hilton/Hilton Hurgada/Steigenberger etc ) the hotels were amazing with very good properties and everytjing was prearranged and we had very smooth checkin and checkout. All the internal tickets to all monuments and the tips etc was pre arranged and we just breezed through each place saving a lot of time and unnecessary haggle. There was no hidden or extra charges in any activities and that felt nice . Amaan/Ali were connected throughout in case of any doubts . Overall it was one of the best trips we had and it has built within us strong faith on Travel Triangle. Thanks Guys ! Hoping to make more memories together in near future as we travel more.
