flights between Kolkata and Port Blair take only about two hours, cruise ships can take as many as three

days to get there. Each mode of travel has its own merits and budget, here are your options:

By Air: Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) in Kolkata remains one of the major

hubs of flights coming from and leaving to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Air India, GoAir, SpiceJet,

IndiGo, and Vistara provide nonstop flights between Kolkata and Port Blair Airport.

By Rail: There is no rail connectivity between the mainland of India and the islands of Andaman and

Nicobar.

By Road: You can throw the idea of a road trip to Andaman out of the window. Board a cruise ship from

Kolkata to Port Blair and laze away your two days on the deck. It will provide an ideal start to your

getaway to the islands of Andaman and Nicobar.

By Sea: For those wondering how to reach Andaman by ship can board a vessel from Kolkata Port. Kolkata to Andaman ship has a variety of options to stay onboard from deluxe cabins for families to bunk beds or dormitories for budget travelers. Kolkata to Andaman ship journey time is approximately 60 hours but it may take longer to reach Port Blair depending upon the weather conditions. I would like to highlight few points of appreciation, 1. The entire vacation trip was very well planned. 2. The cabs were on time with prompt communication at every point of visit and hotels including airport pickup and drop. 3. The Hotels were very good and we were welcomed warmly and also food w

as great. 4. The tickets to ferry and boats and activities were properly arranged with clear communication. 5. We did not face any sort of issue or delay whatsoever. 6. Candle light dinner arrangement was wonderful. and very few points which could have been better, 1. Complimentary snorkelling you provided was for 5 to 7mins, but there we were charged 1200/person saying complimentary is just training for 2mins. Probably this was a miscommunication here. 2. Since Chidiyatapu was far away, the cab should have arrived early. We reached right at sunset time. 3. Even Radhanagar beach we reached late and the complimentary photography was a total waste, as the photographer came after sunset and his camera had issues, all the images are blurred. His friend took 3 pics which are good but then it was already completely dark.
