The cold starts to fade slowly by late March and turns into a brilliant spring weather by the time April comes. Belgium being a small country, the temperature does not vary a lot over its entirety, which means the whole land enjoys warm sunshine all through the spring and summer. Temperatures remain pleasant and cities like Bruges and Ghent burst with colourful blossoms. Visiting Belgium in March-May also has the benefit of lower flight rates and hotel fares.

Belgium never gets unbearable heat even in the mean summers. Temperature stays moderate all over the country. This is the peak tourism period and also the best season to visit Belgium, which means there will be lots of people and high rates.

The Halloween-Thanksgiving season is not as crowded as the summer, but because of the holidays Belgium gets moderate footfall. Belgium in October is beautiful, covered with the red, orange and burgundy on the ground and a blue sky above. This is the best month to visit Belgium during the second half of the year. There is occasional rainfall and the chill of the winter starts setting in.

Winters in Belgium are pretty cold and occasionally wet. Mercury level stays low in the capital Brussels, but it gets even colder in the seaside regions. Sometimes the canals freeze over, and people ice skate on them as a fun winter activity. Ardennes gets enough snow for both cross-country and downhill skiing, but compared to some other European countries, winters here are pleasant.
