How To Reach Brussels From Kolkata

Brussels International Airport receives hundreds of thousands of people everyday from around the world. In terms of footfall, it is the 21st busiest airport in Europe.

By Air: From Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, the fastest flight to Brussels is by Emirates via Dubai. It takes 14 hours 20 minutes to make the journey. Qatar Airways follows the same route more or less via Doha in 15 hours 15 minutes. Indian airlines like Air India and Jet Airways have flights too, but only for the New Delhi or Mumbai leg of the journey. The next part is connected by Brussels Airlines from Mumbai or Lufthansa from New Delhi, via Munich or Frankfurt.

By Road: If you are on a trans-Europe trip and seeing many countries in Western Europe together, you already know how useful and popular bus services are. You cannot go from Kolkata to Brussels by road, but it can certainly be a part of the journey in case you fly to Paris or London first, whose flights are much faster and more frequent from Indian airports.

By Rail: Railways are perhaps the most popular commute in Belgium and its neighbours for tourists. Apart from the Euro Rail, which has the famous Benelux train covering Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg, there are other lines as well. Eurostar operates through the Channel Tunnel from London, while Thalys runs high-speed trains from Paris.
