Constructed by Gustave Eiffel in the nineteenth century, the tower was lit up to welcome the millennium. Completed in the fourteenth century, this gorgeous cathedral suffered massive damage during the revolution and was then restored in the nineteenth century by architect Eugene Viollet-le-Duc. The architecture instantly transports you to an ethereal world of Christianity, grandeur and gothic ways of life.
