About Sernabatim Beach in Goa

Goa is all about beaches and hippie culture that we long to experience at least once in our life.

The beaches in North Goa are very much opposite to the ones in South Goa. The northern part of Goa has more of beaches that are party-centric and where people travel in large numbers to enjoy water sports and for other beach activities. On the other hand, South Goa has more secluded and calm beaches where people come to spend time in tranquility and to feel relaxed. One such beach in South Goa is Sernabatim Beach which is a long stretch of 1.2 km long sandy beach. The beach lies next to the popular Colva resort area hence it is often referred to as South Colva beach. Sernabatim beach is an extremely serene and clean beach and very few tourists can be seen here which makes it ideal for someone who is in search of solace and tranquil environment.

Sernabatim Beach in Goa is located at a distance of about 4.3 km from Colva beach and both of these beaches are often visited together. The beach is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. People come to this beach to admire the beauty of mesmerizing sunsets and sunrises which is the highlight point of this beach. Serbatim beach shacks can also be seen where you can relax and soak the sun rays amidst the picturesque setting of the Sernabatim beach.

Sernabatim Beach is golden sandy beach which is fringed with coconut and casuarina trees coastline. Near the beach, you will find small resorts and hotels which are not expensive and are limited in number. As the beach is tranquil and not very famous tourist place, you won’t find any hawkers here. The most ideal and perfect time to visit the beach is from November to February when the weather is good for activities like swimming and sunbathing.
