About Sinquerim Beach in Goa

Sinquerim is a coastal town in the Bardez division of North Goa that features the glorious stretch of Sinquerim Beach in Goa which is adjacent to Aguada Beach, famous for the imposing Fort Aguada where scores of Bollywood movies were shot. Sinquerim Beach flaunts a tranquil and spectacular stretch of sand and the water here is perfect for swimming.

Nearby Attractions of Sinquerim Beach

Lured by its immaculate and peaceful setting, Sinquerim is one of the best tourist attractions in Goa. Sinquerim Beach is somewhat overshadowed by Aguada Beach and Fort Aguada, which is one of the grandest forts in Goa. These palm-lined beaches with golden sands and blue waters supplement the beauty of the Sinquerim Beach. Built by the Portuguese rulers, the formidable Fort Aguada extends to the south of Sinquerim Beach in Goa, near the mouth of the Mandovi River. Today the remnants of a seventeenth-century shining beacon stand as a testimony to the Portuguese Empire. The Aguada Lighthouse in Goa is located within the fort complex. It once housed the bell from the Church of St Augustine which is now placed at the Immaculate Conception Church in Panaji.

Entry to Fort Aguada and Sinquerim Beach is free for everyone. While there are no specific visiting hours for Sinquerim Beach, the fort timings are from 9:30 am to 6 pm every day. Travelers in Sinquerim can go for a temptingly long walk on the beach towards north to reach Baga Beach, which remains crowded even in the off tourist season in Goa.

make our stay comfortable and arranged a beautiful travel experience at Goa. First thing, the Cab was a Air conditioned Swift Dzire, very neat and clean. The cab used to arrive punctually at our Hotel and the Driver Mr. Sandeep Chavan was very polite. Best part, he used to be our city guide also as he explained a lot of History about the various buildings and locations around the city. It seemed that he knows each and every corner of North Goa, South Goa and Upper Goa which was our travel plan for 3 days. Secondly we were traveling with my 4 year kid. We never felt that he drove rough or rash. Finally I would Like to thank Shri Premanand Jee, Thanks a lot the whole team of Mr. Sameer Sharma, Shri Premanand jee and Shri Sandeep Chavan Jee for making the trip one of our most memorable trips.
