Sinquerim is a coastal town in Bardez division of North Goa that features the glorious stretch of Sinquerim Beach. Today the remnants of seventeenth-century shining beacon stand as a testimony to the Portuguese Empire. The Aguada Lighthouse in Goa is located within the fort complex. It once housed the bell from the Church of St Augustine which is now placed at the Immaculate Conception Church in Panaji.

Entry to Fort Aguada and Sinquerim Beach is free for everyone. While there are no specific visiting hours for Sinquerim Beach, the fort timings are from 9:30 am to 6 pm every day. Travellers in Sinquerim can go for a temptingly long walk on the beach towards north to reach Baga Beach, which remains crowded even in off tourist season in Goa.
