Places To Visit In Goa
If you are looking for a perfect mix of the old and the new, visit the eccentric party capital of India, Goa. There is a whole dearth of places to visit in Goa from exotic beaches like Baga and Anjuna to old forts like Fort Aguada and Chapora as well as churches like the Basilica of Bom Jesus and The Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception. Goa beaches especially are a treat for all the senses. These beaches are probably the most popular places to visit in Goa. You can explore the beauty of Goa tourist places from royal casinos to natural wonders like waterfalls and caves and charming villages and flea markets, which are some of the most important Goa points of interest.
One of the must visit places in Goa is the Calangute beach in North Goa where you can indulge in watersports or just laze around on the beachfront. Enjoy the view of the long coastline and try some of the delicious food items at the beach shacks and restaurants here. Among other best places to visit in Goa, if you visit this beach in December, you will get to experience the celebrations of the Sunburn festival.
Other beaches you can soak up the sunshine at are the Ashwem beach in North Goa & Arossim Beach in South Goa. The swaying palm trees, the glistening sandy shores and the relaxed atmosphere of the beach shacks and restaurants here will make you feel like you are in paradise. Vagator beach is a good option if you want some solitude and peace and the red cliffs and fresh water springs make this beach a sight to behold. Baga and Anjuna are also good beaches, though they are pretty crowded most of the time. Apart from beaches, there are also several places to visit in North Goa. In fact, there are also many places to visit in Goa with family, if traveling with family. For honeymoon couples, there are also several places to visit in Goa for honeymoon.
Take a trip down memory lane by exploring Fort Aguada that lies on Sinquerim beach and view the various buildings here. Some of these buildings have been turned into a jail and the thick battlements and lighthouse are worth viewing. Another fort that is worth visiting is the Chapora fort where the movie “Dil Chahta Hain” was shot. You can get grand views of the coastline from this fort which makes for some great shots.
You should also visit the Deltin Royale Casino which is one of the major tourist attractions in Goa. Enjoy the luxury of live gaming aboard this casino ship in Panjim, North Goa where each level is filled with different gaming stations. After you are done gaming, savor some delicious seafood at the restaurants onboard the casino ship.
If you are a nature enthusiast, the Dudhsagar Falls is a must visit tourist attraction as this 4-tiered waterfall is one of the tallest in the country. During monsoon in Goa, you can witness nature’s fury as this waterfall is fed by the rains. Besides this, the Arvalem Waterfall and the Pandava Caves are also tourist spots in Goa that you should visit. The cave complex has 5 compartments with a ‘linga’ in the middle compartment that are architectural delights.
You can also seek divine blessings at the Basilica of Bom Jesus, where the remains of St. Francis Xavier lie, as well as the Mangeshi temple. There are many more such tourist attractions in Goa, so plan that weekend getaway or major vacation to this beach paradise and enjoy a fun-filled time!

Trip to GoaVery bad experience with Honeygold Retreats Private Limited. Co-ordination of agent Mr.Shivam Bhatia and Cab Transporter agent was not proper. Mr.Shivam Bhatia would never answer the calls before 10.00 am and after 9.00 pm so it was very difficult to contact him in case of any emergency. Mr.Shivam Bhatia had informed us that on reaching Goa railway station the cab driver will take us to Big foot which was nearby but cab driver refused to take us saying it is not possible for him and he was not informed earlier by transporter and the transporter said he had not received any information by Mr.Shivam Bhatia. Then Mr.Shivam Bhatia said us that we can visit Big Foot on our South Goa tour. On second day morning Mr.Shivam Bhatia was not answering our call so we had no idea about the driver. Driver called us after 9.30 and said he will pick up at 10.00 am and did not inform us the plan of the day. We were ready by 10.15 and had worned customes as per the itenary since we had to visit temple in south goa. Mohammed Driver said it was late for south goa so he forcefully took us to north goa for dolphin ride where our dress got wet so we had to return to hotel to change the dressses which were suitable for beach. After every spot he was unavailable at the place where he said he will meet us and his mobile was unreachable and then he used to argue with us that our phones (jio, vodofone & BSNL) were not proper. Since it was his roza he was in a hurry in the evening and at one place before my wife could close the door of the cab he started driving. He did not took us to Calungut beach and left us at 5.30 on a beach 10 mins away from our hotel and said us to walk to the hotel. At that time we had called Mr.Shivam Bhatia and as per our request Mr.Shivam Bhatia said some other driver will be appointment but he did not inform us any details of the driver. Next day we were ready by 8.00 am but Mr.Shivam Bhatia was not contactable and the driver called us at 10.00 am and picked us at 10.30 am. The driver took us to cruize (actually it was in the evening). From 11.15 to 12.00 were were just wasting our time by sitting on the cruize as it was going to depart at 12.00. Cab driver took the fare of cruize from us as he was not informed about the same by Mr.Shivam Bhatia then we confirmed the same with Mr.Shivam and then the cab driver refunded our money in the evening. Since we had to go to Big foot driver did not took us to Shanta durga & Mangeshi temple and since we had reached at 7.00 pm to the hotel we had to pay OT of Rs.200/- from our pocket while actually he had wasted our time in morning near cruize and a mall which was not in our itenary. On the departure day we had informed Mr.Shivam at 9.30 to send the cab driver at 11.00 as we had to check out at 11.00 But the cab driver came at 11.45 only after calling again Mr.Shivam at 11.30 (we were waiting outside the hotel for 45 mins). On arrival cab driver informed us that he was informed by the transporter just 5 mins before. We felt that there was no co-ordination between Mr.Shivam Bhatia and the transporter.
