Mandrem Beach in Goa

Mandrem is a seaside village and a famous tourist spot in Pernem taluka of North Goa.

The village is 30 kilometres from the state capital Panaji. The beach is located about 1 km west of Mandrem village. The white-sand Mandrem Beach in Goa actually comprises two beaches Junas Beach and Ashvem Beach. The beautiful Mandrem Beach is located between Arambol and Ashwem. Arambol Beach, popular among backpackers, lies north of Mandrem.

While Ashwem Beach, where Olive Ridley Turtles roam around, is located south of Mandrem Beach in Goa. A narrow rocky cliff reaching out into the sea separates Mandrem Beach and Arambol Beach. The Mandrem River runs parallel to the beach for about a hundred metres.

Mandrem Beach is worth visiting during the “High Tide” as the waves rush into the Mandrem Creek or River. As per places near Mandrem Beach worthy of a visit, there is a Portuguese Fort which is now a luxury hotel. Ashta Yoga Valley is a popular health centre which offers certified yoga lessons of 200 hours and 500 hours. One can enrol here for shorter and longer duration courses of their choice.

Fringed by coconut palm trees, the beach is really picturesque and the rustic charm of local fishing boats rested along the beach adds to the vibe of serenity. A bamboo bridge spans the Mandrem creek and brings travellers onto the white sands of Mandrem beach itself.

Mandrem Beach Huts

Mandrem is lined with beach shack restaurants, mainly during the tourist season in Goa. These make-shift beach huts in Mandrem are charmingly built using bamboo and coconut palms and mostly prepare fresh seafood delicacies. In the village, there are a number of authentic Goan and Konkani dishes as well as continental cuisine.

Unlike most of the beaches in North Goa, there are no water sports at Mandrem Beach for visitors. However, the waters are always ideal for a relaxing dip as long as you swim within the designated safe areas. Lazing the afternoon away and soaking up some Vitamin D are popular things to do at Mandrem Beach. Those who are looking to spend more than a day, can find places to stay near Mandrem Beach. The best time to visit Mandrem Beach is from October to March, as the water is safe for swimming.

Wildlife At Mandrem Beach

Mandrem beach is surrounded by nature on all its side. Swaying palm trees and large casuarina trees have been planted along the coast of Mandrem beach to offer it an entirely unique look. There are also various kinds of buildings near the beach which provide several water sports adventures for tourists. On the edge of the beach, you will find a variety of wildlife such as the white-bellied fish eagles that nests in the casuarina trees, kingfishers, herons, and crabs. Although Mandrem beach does not remain as crowded as other beaches of North Goa, there are plenty of attractions that will definitely offer a wonderful experience.

Ssklmw's 5 days trip to Goa

I'm Senthil Kumar, a 53-year-old who had always dreamed of visiting Goa. Despite numerous attempts, I never had the chance until last week when I got a one-week holiday. Although my family couldn't join me, I decided to embark on a solo trip. Initially, they were apprehensive about me traveling alone, but my daughter reached out to Goa Originals, and you made my dream a reality. From airport pickup to drop, your team took excellent care of me. Your timely calls and messages were incredibly reassuring. The constant communication between us gave me the confidence to enjoy my trip without any worries. Kudos to you and your team for the outstanding work! Thank you for making my trip so memorable. Best regards, Senthil Kumar"

Suresh's 4 days trip to Goa

On the first day of arrival due to our flight delay we checked in at hotel late at night . But even after informing , dinner was not provided for us , even though we had two small kids with us . Second , the cruise that was booked for us was not good . It was very local . If we had known about it before we would have asked to change the cruise and paid additional charges too . We are so disappointed after reaching the cruise . Thirdly , we were not informed that there will be no scuba diving and snorkeling . But it was mentioned in the package

Harshal's 3 days trip to Goa

The overall trip was good. However inspite of intimating that we would be reaching early at the hotel and to give early check in for atleast one room we were made to wait for atleast 3 hrs. I feel that should be taken into consideration. The taxi driver didn't inform us that one of the locations were to close by 5 pm and hence missed the sightseeing as it was already closed, which was another disappointment. Anyways we built good memories out of our vacation.
