Saputara hill station lies in the Western Ghats in the Dang district of Gujarat. It is a small hill station with a rich green forest and massive mountains, gleaming waterfalls, beautiful nature views. By Air
While Saputara does not have an airport of its own, flying is generally considered to be the best way to reach it. Surat is the nearest airport to Saputara and is located about 116 km away. From here, you can take a cab or bus from Surat to Saputara. The trip from the airport to this hill station can take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic. However, the journey is quite scenic and beautiful.
By Train
The nearest railway station is the Waghai railway station about 52 kilometres from Saputara; however, it is not connected with major railheads. The better-served Bilimora railway station is about 112 kilometres from Saputara and is well-connected to various cities in Gujarat including Ahmedabad. From Bilimora or Waghai, you can hire a private cab or hop on a bus to conveniently reach Saputara.
By Road
Due to its popularity, Saputara is quite well connected to most major cities across Gujarat including Ahmedabad. The total distance from Ahmedabad to Saputara is 395 km and can take anywhere from 8 to 9 hours to complete. You can hop on a bus from Ahmedabad or hire a private taxi to reach Saputara via road. However, if you wish to drive yourself, make sure to prepare well ahead for the long journey. Take ample breaks and make sure to rest once in a while on and take in the views.
