Vidya's 5 days trip to Somnath

It was a fantastic experience to see all the tourist attractions in Ahmedabad , pilgrimage centers of Dwarka and Somnath , Devaliya Park Safari in Gir. Our Driver Mr. Kan Singh was very helpful and resourceful. He took us to all the places as per our wish and helped us in covering all the attractio
ns we had planned to visit. He also helped us in tasting variety of Gujarat cuisines / Thali / namkeens / sweets , by identifying the right restaurants enroute. Hotels were good . We especially liked "Lords Inn" in Somnath and they had good standards for Quality and hygiene. Room size was big . They even packed us complete breakfast and juice at 6:30am , as we had an early morning Safari by 8:00am at Gir. Grand Dwarka was not maintained well. AC's were not working and hence the floor was all wet/ humid. I didn't feel the 3 Star standard or quality in that Hotel. Nevertheless it was closeby to Dwarkadheesh Temple ( walkable distance).

Raosureshs's 8 days trip to Somnath

It was a good experience. However there was too much travel on road. Out of 8 days, 2 full days were spent traveling. It was quite tiring. Better planning of longer stay in hotels rather than checking out within 1 or 2 days would have helped. There was hardly any time spent in the resort. Gir Jung
le safari and stay in Tent City Narmada was awesome. Great experience.
