Simla and it's kamna hill hotel experience was amazing, In manali the worst experience ever in hotel monal and it's service was third class, and the travel agent arranged my honeymoon inclusion in this third class hotel, in which i was reminding that, hey bhai, aaj honeymoon inclusion ka bhulna mat, surprise plan ki aisi ki taisi kar di, again the dharmashala experience was Good, and in Delhousie again worst experience from travel agent, Main Khajjar point is remaining to visit, and money taken from me including it.. In Simla best memory of full trip.. After that the worst experience felt from travel agent..

    • Trip to Himachal

It's a memorable trip, we enjoyed lot in Agra and Shimla. Komal made the arrangements good. But in Manali we can't reach solang valley due to afternoon traffic(returning vehicles) and weather, we wasted time in Nehru Kund here driver could have guided properly. I advise for people don't spend time in Nehru Kund if you want to go solang valley and don't trust the words of people in snow dress shops. Hotel in Delhi is not upto mark, Hotel Aplin in Shimla and Mountain green villa in Manali are good. Thanks to Getz Destination and Driver Ajay for Making this trip successful.

    • Trip to Himachal

hotels and their location was not good they were far away from main points so we can't go outside even for a walk after 6.our 3rd hotel Turkish cottage was changed suddenly when we arrive as per the hotel we dont have any booking here and we were asked to go to another hotel 10kms away. when we enquired the same to travel vichar agent they said we have booked another hotel for you and they don't care to even informed us luckily our driver had not gone far away he came back quickly and then we moved. so the new hotel was hotel snow retreat as per our plan it should be of 3star but it was hardly 2star rated hotel, washroom was not clean, room service was not available as the phone line was disconnected so i need to call them via mobile. after this hotel i felt cheated as it was a rs 500 per night hotel and we were too tired to call the agent for a change. Rs 1600 was charged as Himachal gvt has increased some kind of road tax on outside vehicles so i need to pay them separately. when my full package is for Himachal the car should be of himachal so that i could have saved some money atleast but we got a Punjab vehicle and i have paid the money to driver. only good thing was a good driver with a new car and the scenery of himachal, we got snowfall at various locations and we enjoyed different activities.

Hotel maintenance, staff service in manali is excellent whereas the same in shimla is bit poor. The cab driver, Mr. Gagan is very friendly and he even guided us regarding the locations. Travel agency services are good. Mr. Ramit and Mr. Ritu are responded timely and provided good services. Solang valley in Manali, paragliding and river rafting in Kulu, Bungey jumping in amusement park

    • Trip to Himachal

Overall the review was average... The package on day 1 at Shimla was very good along with the hotel & food. However at the Manali hotel the food quality was very poor, In-fact the guests preferred to eat outside then eat the hotel food. Secondly the Driver looked to be a commission agent. He only halted the vehicle at the points he preferred/he had a tie up , due to which the guests had to spend an additional 7000/- which could have been avoided... The driver needs be informed that we provide service and see that the client benefits, Due to such behavior we do not have the client repeating with us, its just a One time visitor.

    FAQ's of Dalhousie

Read on to find out why our customers love us!

Since Dalhousie is a small town, walking is a viable option. That is only for enthusiasts though, the common practice is to get motorcycles or cars. Due to the temperature though, a car is a better idea than a bike.

In terms of attractions, Dalhousie doesn't offer much. The nearby sites of Khajjiar and Chamba are must visits when staying in Dalhousie and so are the markets and the malls that the town was built around back in the day. Obviously, going to Dainkund is also a priority and there a few beautiful churches around the town as well.

There are rooms available in Dalhousie from upwards of Rs.1000- Rs.8000. A fairly luxurious room on an average would cost roughly Rs.4000 a night and an average to decent meal costs in the range of Rs. 250- Rs.350. Therefore, an average but luxurious day in Dalhousie would cost around Rs.2500- Rs.3000.

Regardless of whom you go on the trip with, spending roughly 3-4 days in Dalhousie is quite long enough. While it is a quaint little town and it is very beauiful, there are not many things to do. So 3-4 idyllic days spent in this small town with the beautiful scenery should be good enough that include visits to Khajjiar and Chamba.

Dalhousie does not have many hospitals, the main hospitals in the town are the Civil Hospital and the Military Hospital in the Cantonment area. Civil Hospital is on Subhash Chowk Road. The number for Civil Hospital is +91-1899-242125 and the ambulance number is 108.

The best time to visit Dalhousie has to be the summer months of March to May. The summer months are refreshingly cool here and it is a welcome escape from the heat. However, this is also peak season for tourism and it is quite crowded at this time. Winter, of course, is excellent for those who enjoy snowfall.
