Dharamshala, also known as Little Lhasa. It is a beautiful place located in the district of Kangra Himachal Pradesh. With tourists visiting from around the world. Dharamshala has become many tourist favourite destinations to visit. Not many people are aware that there are two parts of the city. One is known as Lower Dharamshala, and the other one is known as Upper Dharamshala. One can reach Dharamshala by air, train, and road. The most convenient way to reach Dharamshala from Mumbai is by air. The nearest airport to Dharamshala is the Gaggal Airport also known as the Kangra Airport, which is located at a distance of 15 km from Dharamshala. One can take a flight from Mumbai to Kangra Airport. From Kangra Airport book a cab and enjoy the scenic views of Dharamshala.

How To Reach Dharamshala From Mumbai By Air

There is no airport in Dharamshala. However, the nearest airport to Dharamshala is the Gaggal Airport, also known as the Kangra Airport, which is located at a distance of 15 km from Dharamshala. The best way to reach Dharamshala via air from Mumbai is to take a connecting flight from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport to Indira Gandhi International Airport to Kangra Airport. It will take almost 16 hours to reach Kangra Airport from there one can take a cab from the airport to Dharamshala.

How To Reach Dharamshala From Mumbai By Train

There is no railway station in Dharamshala, but the nearest railway station is Pathankot Cantt Railway Station in Punjab, about 86 km from Dharamshala. Some trains daily travel from Mumbai to Pathankot Railway Station. You can take a cab from the station to reach Dharamshala or a bus from the Pathankot Bus Stand towards McLeodganj which usually takes about 3 to 4 hours to go.

How To Reach Dharamshala From Mumbai By Road

The distance from Dharamshala and Mumbai is 1,903 km. You can opt to self-drive or hire a cab. It will take about 31 hours on a road journey from Mumbai to reach Dharamshala. Unfortunately, there are no buses available that connect the two cities. However, You can take a connecting bus from one city to another to reach Dharamshala.

    Over all trip was very good. We enjoyed a lot in first 2 days at manali. In shimla hotel they provided during 1st day the room is very bad and the way to the hotel was also very Dangerous. The driver faced very difficult to ride because it is very narrow. The hotel at shimla which is given to us no
