For those traveling from Mumbai to Himachal Pradesh by air, there are three airports that have connecting flights. You can travel from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport till the Bhuntar Airport in Shimla, the Gaggal Airport in Kangra and Jubbarhatti Airport in Kullu. From these airports, it is easy to get a cab or private taxi to your destination. Taking a flight to Kullu or Chandigarh airport is the quickest way to travel the distance between Mumbai and Himachal Pradesh.

Mumbai To Himachal Pradesh By Rail

If you are thinking about traveling from Mumbai to Himachal Pradesh by train, the situation is a little more tricky as there are no direct railway lines from Mumbai to Himachal. You will have to take a train from the Mumbai railway station till Delhi and then take a train to Kalka Railway Station. This airport is near Shimla and you can easily take a cab or shared taxi from this railway station till Shimla.

Mumbai To Himachal Pradesh By Road

Going on a road trip from Mumbai to Himachal Pradesh would be a fascinating experience. There are no direct bus services from Mumbai to Himachal and you will have to take a bus till New Delhi. Then take a connecting bus to Shimla or Kullu. This takes about 28-29 hours depending on the destination you are going to. You can also fly into Delhi and then travel by bus from here to cut the travel time short.
